Broke Down Palace

I was very displeased with this Hotel. The room smelt like sewerage and many of the rooms contents were broken or in disrepair. I will not return there again.

OMG - Bring a Fat Wallet and Low Expectations

I felt that I was no different than someone coming off the street to use the bathroom. First, their Hot Tub was not even warm - we spoke to the pool manager and the next day the temperature was increased, to just barely warm - over a 4 day period, 90 degrees outside and the hottub was cooler than the outside temperature. We spent most of our bedtime hours trying to figure out how we continually heard the elevators - especially since we were on another section of walls about 100 feet down the hall from them - but I sure knew what TV show the person next door was watching. Attempting to get directions or information required us to go to someone at the Bell Stand - no one else would help us unless we wanted to stand in line with everyone checking in. The hotel rooms were pretty clean and orderly, but we had to go downstairs to borrow a pen and paper. Local calls are charged, wireless internet service is $10 a day (barely 56k response from it), restaurants were overpriced, Diet Pepsi 20oz bottle $2.75 (with discount), and timeshare salespeople all over the place. Oh, and the slot machines were tight, tight, tight. Forget about visiting the tower - you pay the same as Nevada residents and yes - you have to pay even though you have a room, and you have to stand in line to go.

Very Poor Service

The staff at Stratosphere in Las Vegas have very poor customer service. We checked in at this hotel after me and my wife made a trip to the Grand Canyon in Arizona and stopped by Las Vegas before heading back home to California. I requested for a late check in not knowing what time we would get to Vegas from Arizona. Wait time to check in was about average. After I got done checking in, me and my wife went on our way to our room, only to find out that my room key did not work. There was a house phone near by so I called the operator and told her my situation, only to be transfered to a very rude hotel security. I was told to wait for hotel security to let me in to my room. Me and my wife waited for a good 20 minutes. No one came. So I called the hotel operator again and this time got transfered to the front desk. The clerk told me that the room I was trying to get in, which was on the 12th floor, was not the room that was given to me. The room that they gave me is located on the 6th floor. So she gave me an option of either going down to the front desk to exchange the room key or having a bell hop bring it to me. I opted for the latter. When the bell hop got to me, there was no greeting or a mention of any kind of apology for the mix up. It was a good 30 to 45 minutes from the time we tried to get into the wrong room to the time we got to the right room. STRATOSPHERE NEVER AGAIN.

Stay Elsewhere

This hotel is located quite far- very inconvenient. Hotel staff very rude and management was not much better. At one point management offered me access to the top floor pool to find out it was closed for renovations. Not very professional.

Room with a view (air conditioners)

The hotel website lists the tower rooms as having a view of the mountains or partial city view. Our room had a view of the Air Conditioners!!! You had to tilt your head and look straight up to get a view of the sky!! Will not stay there again.

I was not happy with the casino staff they never offered me a comp the whole time i was there. Myself and my girlfriend gambled about $3500 and want even offered a breakfast buffet. The Golden Nugget gave us a meal after playing there just 2hrs. the last time i was at the stratosphere they took amazing care of me and i gambled less. We just booked a trip with about 12 of are friends in june and they lost are money. Im telling everyone that i use to tell to stay there not even to think about it. i hope they get there act start i love the place and wanted to stay there again. they have everything i want under one roof. im planning my wedding and was going to have it there but not now.l Sorry strat you lose out on about 50 people and all there money.

The good and the Bad!

When we arrived we found out that the pool was been renovated so the children could not swim at night. No where was this information available until we arrived. This hotel is at the end of the strip where it is dirtier. Not close to other hotels. Only good thing was a lounge act that was appearing nitely.

Did not get what I expected

Both Orbitz & the Stratosphere charged resort fees for my stay (Stratosphere's was $7.95/night-a relative bargain to what Orbitz also charged me--$13.95/night) I paid $6/night for "premium view" which was 7th floor looking at the building floodlights & top of parking garage. People told me there are mountains & sunrise/sets to see, but I wouldn't know. Pool & recreation is under construction, and for the resort fee (pay twice!) you go somewhere else.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The view that Orbitz offered online was not even near what I got. I had a nasty view of their rusted pipes, nasty roofs, and stucco. kept my wndows closed their were alot of people walking, running, and yelling in the hall way.
