Stratosphere was great!
We had a great time at the Stratosphere. I won about $500 dollars in the slots and the best thing is I brought it home. The atmosphere was also good and employees were all very helpful and friendly. I would definetely stay at the Stratosphere again.

Stratosphere Stay
Stayed here one night to meet friends away from the hotel. Stood in line 20 minutes to check in and naother 20 minutes to check out. The room was a great value. Everything was clean and worked. Free parking was convenient and secure. Located at north end of the Strip, it can be considered out of the way, by it's easy to get to and from the Interstate.

Short walk from hotel
Don't go to the buffet a the Sahara. It's not terrible but it's not worth $15.95, either!!!!!!! (even though the sign says $8.99, the fine print says "with a Sahara card"). There are other places within walking distance that are cheaper and better.

awesome hotel but rides are overated!
The hotel itself was awesome. From the look of the pictures I thought the pool would be bigger, but don't get me wrong it was a nice size. The rooms were a a nice size, decorated very well, and clean. The view from the tower was a sight to see but I felt the three rides were over priced and not worth the money.

You get your money's worth
Room was clean, but not really nice. Pool is cool. Rides are cool if your into that. Went to Top of the World. Cost us 280$ but was a great meal , seriously. I had to pay extra in cabs because of bad location. Taxi to the palms cost me 25$. But still ended up saving vs other hotels. Overall satisfied but there is nothing particular about this hotel that would make me want to return aside from the price, and to me that was the bottom line.

Terrific vacation deal
The Stratosphere hotel overall was average. My husband and I stayed there for our 5year anniversary. We requested a non smoking room but yet our room had a musty smell to it. A couple of our friends were also staying there and there room smelled just fine so it could just be a hit or miss thing. For one of the older hotels though it was very well kept and clean. They had alot of stores in the tower for shopping including a Mcdonalds if you want to eat cheap. For guests of the hotel it is free to ride up to the observation deck where you can see a breathtaking view of the strip. They also have three awesome rides at the top of the tower for those thrill seekers and you are given coupon book which includes a coupon for rides just for being a guest of the hotel. They also have a topless pool separate from the public pool on he 25th floor of the hotel. Admittance for that is $10 from 10am to 6pm. The hotel is at the most nothern end of the strip and most of the other hotels and attractions are at the southern end. Be prepared to spend alot on transportation because it is too far to walk from the Stratosphere to other places on the strip. You can get a 3day pass for $15 to ride the bus or $24 for a 3day pass to ride the monorail. Lines an be very long for the bus and it gets really packed even though it is a double decker. It is the opposite for the monorail even though you hace to walk about two blocks from the Stratosphere to get to it, it runs every 6 minutes and is usually very empty. It let us off at some of the major hotels and then we just walked in between to the other hotels it didn't stop at.

In Hotel
They have a vast variety of slot machines, eating places and bars. If you present your rewards room key at their buffet you get 25% off and show tickets for their topless show "Bite" is two for one. The best deal for us was o the actual night of our anniverssary we made reservations at their restaurant called top of the world. It's a little expensive but way more reasonable that some of the other upscale restaurants. The food was delcious and just the view alone was worth it because the restaurant revolves and gives you a panaromic view of the srip, downtown and the mountains. For both my husband and I dinnere came o about $175 and we both had filet mignon which waslike butter in our mouthes.

The Stratosphere Casino Hotel & Tower
We loved the friendly atmosphere at the Stratosphere, from the casino to the dining facilities! And, not just occassionally, but each time we were there - even when we returned from another casino stay!

Although the Stratosphere is at the north end of the new strip, all other venues are easily visited from this point, whether it's to the south/airport area or old Las Vegas! Patience is all you need in Vegas and prepare to have a Blast!

it was a fine , clean place to stay,/. only the location at the end of the strip was difficult. right out the front door we encountered rif raf and pan handlers as we walked to the center of the strip. but hotel itself was fine.

Resonable and low key.
We wanted to stay at the Stratosphere because we wanted to be with our friends who always stay there. I don't think we would have picked it otherwise and found it too far away from the main area of the strip. It does not have the luxury of some of the other major hotels, but I'm sure its price reflects that. We would have preferred to have more restaurants, nice shops and shows in the hotel or immediate area. The rooms were very nice though, and we have no complaints about that.
