Horrible experience, not worth it!
This was my worst hotel experience ever. So much so that I checked out in one day although I paid for two! The rooms were dingy, poorly lit and the restroom had small hairs on the toilet seat! There was absolutely no cell phone reception (maybe that was because we got the room facing their storage area). There was one tiny window that didn't let any light in. for $100 a night, they charged us for wifi! It was too much trouble getting a refund from them and from [...]. I will never ever go back and I dont recommend it to anyone. There are better hotels for the same price that are available.

[...] The tub did not drain! 5 minutes into a shower you were several inches deep in other people's drain debris! Do not recommend!!!! Soap provided was HORRIBLE! Thankfully I had brought a bar of soap from a different hotel! This place really sucked! And a loooong line for check-in!

Disappointing & in the Las Vegas Ghetto
The Stratosphere is one of the farthest hotels from the main strip sights so one might naturally think that the service and accomidations would make up for the distance. This is in no way true. The room we originally received was in terrible shape and very dirty - even the drawers were full of garbage from previous guests! We had to threaten to go to another hotel before they would even give us a different room. The second "suite" was cleaner but still in need of an update. The staff was not pleasant nor helpful and on two seperate occasions during our 4 day stay a staff member entered our room without knocking while we were in there with a do not disturb sign on the door! The casino and other hotel accomidations are in serious need of some updating as well...we werent't brave enough to try either of the restaurants. Several hotels including the Luxor and Wynn are in the same price range....save yourself some walking distance and nightmares and stay there instead - much nicer!

Get an all day pass on the DUECE Bus for $7. You don't want to be walking to the main part of the strip! It's really far

sucked
very bad.. my room was burglarized by housekeeping over 700 dollars was stolen from my room including a 500 dollar phone. the hotel will not compensate for any thing.. they are rude and the rooms were very trashy also the hotel is full of homeless people and while i was staying a few fights broke out on the casino floor. this makes the hotel unsafe for families with small children. also staff is very unorganized. hotel is very old and not kept up. my room has cigarette burns everywhere and it smelled of urine... dont go there you will not enjoy and regret your stay...

Not great via the [...] purchase
Our room was not as promised. We requested two adjacent rooms with two queen beds. We got single king beds on separate floors - not great for family fun. Our full fee room deposit was non-refundable so we could not change if we had wanted to. The staff did not seem very cooperative, but we had no choice since they had our deposit weeks in advance. I got the feeling that because we had used [...] to purchase the room, we had no clout. Buyer beware.

Not exactly out of this world...
A basic room. Wireless is extra. No fridge, no coffee maker, not even a fold-out suitcase holder. The TV was old and the channel selection was pathetic. We had a cheaper room at a chain hotel near Zion NP that was twice as nice - and the scenery was much better.

Long walk from hotel
If you're going to Vegas, stay near the middle of the strip. The Stratosphere is just too far from everything else, and the money you save is not worth the quality you give up.

Noisy Room / Unhelpful Front Desk Staff
The moment I checked in The staff quickly informed me about check out time and then asked me to write my email address on a card; I dont know why she needed it? The moment I stepped in the room There was a constant Noise First I thought that it was the internal A/c but then I figured it was not the internal AC vent but the Huge Airconditioning system located right behind my room. I called Front desk to inform them about it and see I could be moved to a quiet room but they said in a very harsh and arrogant tone that they will not be able to shift us to a quiet room (I had checked in at ~ 4:00 pm and I dont know why it was sooo difficult to shift me) Having family travelling with me I decided just to let this go (and not ruin the FUN) and spend more time outside the room rather than keep listening to the horrible CONSTANT NOISE. Staying here for two nights was horrible and the horrible customer service at this Hotel makes me urge that any prospective visitor to consider other options before going here. And if you still unfortunately choose this hotel Please ensure that you ask the front desk about the noise levels in the room. I will never stay here again.
