Overview

The Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower is often the first glimpse travelers get of the vibrant city of Las Vegas, since it can be seen clearly not only from McCarran International Airport, but even from the seclusion of Red Rock Canyon some 20 miles away.

Stay at 'The Strat' for an 80,000 square foot casino complete with a wide range of table games and video slots, a revolving restaurant, adrenaline-pumping thrill rides, and even a wedding chapel. This resort is more like a small city than a hotel.

Whether it's dining at Zagat-rated restaurants, taking a dip in the crystal clear pools, or even shopping at the onsite magic store with dreams of emulating Las Vegas' magicians Penn & Teller, no traveler could get bored here.

Hints and tips

Stratosphere s AirBar is currently the highest bar in the city at 800 feet and offers views across the infamous Vegas skyline but you will need a reservation as access can be tricky on busy nights. Instead, why not simply drop down just one floor to the Level 107 Lounge Enjoy the same vista over 'bright light city' without the crowds!

Neighborhood

I had a lovely stay in Stratosphere Hotel, nice 3 star hotel and good value for money. Room is clean and spacious. Apart from the wifi that didn't work for me, everything was great.

Elegant getaway. Awesome

Great hotel. Five stars for this amazing experience. Very clean, organized, and safe. Away from the strip, but not too far, makes it more private and peaceful.

Marriage getaway

Would not recommend Sat, Jan 16, 2016
Terrible. Not happy at all with the sevice or rooms. We had to switch rooms 3times and just gave up and stayed in the last room they gave us. Then found out my credit card was double charged . Was told it be credited upon check out but that didnt happen and shouldnt of been double charged yo begin with. No way will i ever stay thete again. This was our wedding getaway and the room ruined our special day.

Tired, Jaded & Faded

Would not recommend Tue, Jan 12, 2016
From the stagnant smell of stale cigarette smoke when entering through to the sulphur smell when running the tap in the room this hotel is tired and jaded. The area is not pleasant to walk around in the evenings meaning a reliance on taxis. The staff were pleasant enough but the hotel itself wasn't.

First time in Vegas!

Would recommend Wed, Dec 23, 2015
The room itself was really nice unfortunately, my room was recently remodeled and I seem to have been assigned to the floor where remodels were still underway, which meant that 8 am every morning, even Saturday and Sunday, I was awoken by hammering and drilling, not exactly what you want in your stay when you are in Vegas and staying up until 3 in the morning! The front desk stated that I could change my room but would have to go to the front desk between the hours of 11 am and 3 pm and the time didn't sync up with my plans. In order to not have to cut a day of events I went ahead and stayed in the room and just dealt with the cut in sleep but it was not ideal. The view from the observation deck however was one of the most beautiful views I've seen, especially at night. The sky bar and the restraunt in the tower were also great experiences.
