First trip to Vegas
The rooms were very nice and spacious which we loved. We did not like that you HAD to walk through the casino to get to the rooms. We had meals at several different restaurants and the portions ere enormous. Also the food was good. We did not think that the mixed drinks we ordered were good at all. For the price, they were very weak. It would also be nice to have shuttles that run later to and from the strip.

Great Family Gathering
We just came back from our 5 day vacation. We have a family gathering in Vegas every year - so we have stayed in many hotels both on the strip and downtown. This was our first time we stayed at the South Point. It was a wonderful experence. The staff was very friendly. The Cafe was great (we had breakfast there each morning) and the buffet was good (I am not a buffet type of person) they had a good selection. The hotel room was spacious and clean! I loved the bathroom set up where the sink area is seperate from the shower/toilet. It helped with 4 of us in one room when getting ready in the morning. The only thing that I would have liked is free wi-fi in the rooms. If you have a car it is nice to be off the strip. It is easy to get to just located 6-7 miles south on Las Vegas Blvd. Even if you don't have a car I saw they have a free shuttle to the strip. The whole group enjoyed the stay and plan to return to the South Point next year.

good
the room is beyong my expectation, very large, very clean and very decent. the location is a little bit far away to the convention center and strip but if you have a car, it's easy to drive around. BTW, the breakfast in Garden buffet with club member card is good, only 6+ bucks and you can even get 50% discount with the guest coupon. the only thing disturbed me is that they made wrong receipt of my bill when I checked out--other room number instead of mine and I spent few mintues to clarify the issue.
