Santa Fe Station is located on more than 38 acres in northwest Las Vegas, minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip, Red Rock Canyon and Mt. Charleston. Santa Fe Station's rugged stone exterior stands in harmony with the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains. Reminiscent of a Spanish villa, the hotel and casino features a burgundy, brown and gold interior with wrought iron accents and marble flooring.
Santa Fe Station has over 450,000 square feet of gaming, entertainment and hotel space, including 200 hotel rooms, 14,000 square feet of banquet /meeting space, a state of the art race & sports book and all of your favorite slots and table games. Enjoy dining in one of our many fine restaurants or, if you're in a hurry, grab a bite in the Turf Grill or our six-outlet fast food court. Dance the night away to live entertainment in the Chrome showroom, which features a varied lineup of headliners, or relax in at one of our many bars or lounges, including our newest hip spot 4949.
This Southwestern-style Las Vegas hotel is four miles from Red Rocks Canyon and 10 miles from the Las Vegas Strip. On-site recreational amenities for both kids and adults include a 60-lane bowling center, arcade/game room, theater, full service casino, and a multitude of dining options. The hotel offers Kids Quest, a supervised childcare facility.
The hotel's race and sports book offers several betting stations and large-screen plasma TVs. Amenities include outdoor swimming pool, spa tub, complimentary newspapers in lobby, bar/lounge, restaurant(s) in hotel, parking (free), self parking, exhibit space, meeting rooms, fax machine, audio-visual equipment, photocopy machines, number of rooms: 200, safe-deposit box-front desk, 24-hour front desk, porter/bellhop, multilingual staff, gift shops or newsstand, laundry facilities, arcade/game room, casino, elevator/lift, supervised child care/activities, parking garage.
Hotel will charge a hotel services / resort fee at the front desk of 9.95 plus tax per night. Fee covers exclusive use of Hotel facilities, In-Room Laptop Internet, Free & Unlimited Local/800 Calls, Las Vegas Review Journal (Monday-Saturday), Fitness Facility Access, Copy/Fax Services, Gift Shop Discount, and special coupons and promotions. This fee will increase to 12.99 plus tax per night on April 17. Because it's now included in the services fee, there will no longer be an additional fee for internet access in the rooms.
A $100 security deposit is required upon check-in.

Rather disappointing...

Had zero expectations, was attracted by a $14/day rate (plus the $14.99 daily resort fee)...although not a biggie, at checkin the front desk neglected to provide discounts that my reservation reflected. Mother's Day buffet was good (price higher than normal), subsequent visits to the buffet (breakfast, lunch, dinner) were disappointing even though prices were cheap. Room was ok, but tired, nothing extraordinary. Smoke smell was prevalent throughout the casino. Elevator slow. Location of the place is really out there. All in all, despite of the price, would not return. Neither the room nor dining was worth it. Also found it interesting that in this day and age of identify theft, this hotel did not have a shredder available for guest use. Bottom line... look elsewhere, or really lower your expectations.

Santa Fe Station Unreasonable Fees

The toilets are too cramped. The sink counter-top is less than 4 inches from the edge of the toilet, so when you start to sit down the edge of the counter gouges your side. There is a "resort fee" of $14.95 which is also taxable per day, so a two day stay costs and extra $$31.This fee gives you access to the gym, which I did not use, as I am up all night, and sleep all day. A "free" daily newspaper ($.75 value) one cup of Starbucks coffee per day (I dont drink coffee), and daily use of the internet (if you happen to have a laptop). Also, you get free local and long distance phone calls.(but if you are single and have no friends/relatives to call, another useless item)So This extra $31.00 fee was extortion for staying there.I would rather have the "option" of paying for a "free" newspaper, pay for my own coffee, pay for the use of the gym and pay for the use of the internet (Hello?? my Iphone already uses the internet already, and I am paying for it). This is like the airlines charging you for a baggage fee as part of your ticket, when you have no luggage, or a service charge to access your ATM card, etc. Many hotels now charge this "resort fee" [...]Also, We travelers should start a massive campaign to boycott all hotels that charge this worthless fee

Nice little hideaway...

I booked this hotel as a Staycation. It was close to where I live with all the amenities I needed-entertainment, food, relaxation. If I wanted to go out, there are 2 nightclubs and several bars on property. They have a food court in addition to room service and the buffet. One stop for movies, bowling, arcade, etc.

A Bit Distant But Worth It

Santa Fe Station is quite a ways North but the hotel is in excellent shape. The check-in desk is right next to valet parking which is just around a corner from the guest elevators. My room was a long way down an endless hallway but that was just the luck of the draw. The room was immaculate!
