Good value for your dollar!

It was good for what you pay! The rooms are very nice and the bed was very comfortable with modern linens. The shower looked old but everything else in the bathroom was ok. Good buffet but they close early in case you get there late at night.

What once was ---now isn't!!

1. dirty taxi cab area. 2. registration clerk had major chip on her shoulder 3. quiet rooms--just not clean. 4. bottom sheets weren't even tucked in. mattress pad worn out. 5. NO room cleaning. We stayed 3 nites and had no clean sheets, no cleaning in the bath, no vacuuming. They didn't even take the used wash cloths out each day. We did get a new bar of soap, shampoo and one new plstic drink cup in the 3 days! 6.No coffee dispensers in the room. 7. Charged an extra electric fee of $17.36. Should have just put this in with the cost of the room, instead of tacking it on extra. The Buffet was only open on Sat. and Sun. morning. 8.Pool was closed. 9. Shops in the hotel were only open a very few hours per day. 10. Wed. evening we did not find any hostess working to serve drinks in the casino. 11.Bed was great 12. Too much cigarette smoke.

OK if you just need a bed to sleep in

Very ordinary and in some cases sub-par. I don't have many needs, but a friendly 'welcome' would be nice upon arrival. Someone should look up the definition of 'service'.

Riviera during CES Show

The room on the 3rd floor faces a wall and from a safety/security standpoint wasn't goof because anyone could walk from one room to another and break a window (or just open it. There was absolutely no view, when I opened the curtains I found the wall!!!

Riviera Las Vegas

Location is very bad. When I checked in, they did not have the non-smoking room I reserved. After me complaining, they somehow came up with one. The hotel smells very badly. TV's in the rooms are very poor quality. They cahrged me a $20.00 per night surcharge that I did not know about until I checked in.

Time to Check Out

This was the only hotel available under $200 within walking distance to LVCC. Many things were broken in the room - door chain missing, noisy A/C fan, broken temp. control knob , floor lamp switch broken, leaking toilet. The hotel claims to be eco friendly but the 20 year old toilet used at least 5 gallons every flush. The toilet also runs so every hour the water turned on. Wireless Internet access cost $9.95 a day and was very slow. It didn't come close to the 1Mbps claimed. No invoice or receipt can be saved after paying online. The window rattled at night with strong wind. The couple in the next room was much louder than the rattling[*]The time has come to knock down the hotel and build a new one.

Riviera in Vegas - CES week

small, older vegas casino, but good location to convention center and near Wynn and other hotels. The price and convenience and renovated rooms make it a good choice, but it is not high end.

Classic Hotel (but not much more)

We booked this hotel for the obvious reasons you may be looking at this; the price. Let me first start by saying you should spend a few extra bucks and stay elsewhere. I requested (and called) to receive a non-smoking room. Upon arrival, the staff informed me they are all full and I would have to stay at least 1 night in a smoking room. This was highly unacceptable, therefore I spoke with the manager and was able to get a non-smoking suite for the night. This hotel is quite old and very misleading when it says "newly renovated." A small portion of this hotel is renovated, which happens to be the tower most often filled. After a night in the aging non-smoking suite, we were transferred to our room we had for the week. This was recently renovated and non-smoking, which satisfied us. The room had a nice view of the pool area, flat screen tv, and other various nice amenities. I would compare the room to a decent room at a Days Inn or a Holiday Inn. For the price you sure can't beat it, however the rest of the hotel was quite run down. Originally, our mentality was we didn't mind on the hotel as we'd be out mostly. We ended up spending very little in the hotel, but with the heat and distance to everything, we wished we had the "option" to. The hotel is old yes, but they can sure do a better job of up keeping. Aside from the check-in issues, we were fairly satisfied (for the price, mind you) with the hotel. If we were to return to Vegas, I will tell you truthfully we will spend the money and stay at a moderately nice hotel. A week in an ancient hotel that isn't kept nicely sure starts/ends your day on a gloomy note. (our $.02)
