Great specials!

The hotel is one of the older ones on the strip but there are newer rooms. The staff is great! The hotel restaurants have excellent specials that save you money. The room was comfortable and spacious. The only thing I would caution about is the "fitness center." If you watch the video of it in the room.....it is not quite like that in reality! In reality, the equipment is rather old and a lot of it was broken. But overall, a great stay!

Showing its age but good value with caveats.

I spent 4 nights there and here is my review: Room: Clean, and had the usual amenities. Toilet was like you would find at a school or Walmart. Shower needed to be bleached. Towels were excellent and plentiful. Bed was comfortable and clean. Room keys: I had issues with the room keys as they were worn and had to insert them several times to get them to work. Annoying but not a huge deal. Amenities: ABC store is a nice touch and prices were not too bad and they had liters of water for a buck. they carry everything from wine to fruit to toiletries. Vicky's Tavern has a great burger special which includes fries and a pint of beer for 10.00. Great burger and good fries which came out hot. Service there is good. However, they advertise in several places on the web that they have 90 taps but they really only have about 12 but good ones. When I asked they said that they did about 5 years ago. The Banana Leaf Cafe had breakfast deals which were decent. There is a bus stop right outside which goes north and south is across the street out side Slots of Fun. The Riv has a dedicated channel on the TV spouting what they offer and it needs to be updated in regards to the gym. I was pumped after I initially saw the promo for it. Then you get up there and it is a different story. No attendant, no water other than the bathroom or the vending machine. The ad said they provide water and there is an attendant. The weight equipment and machines are out of the early 80's and some do not work. A few need attention and I did call down to the desk to tell them which ones. There is ample cardio equipment and there are plenty of towels. There is 1 bathroom and no water fountain. The one that was there was pulled out. I did not use the pool but walked around and it was busy and clean. Each morning I looked out my window and saw it being cleaned. Summary: Decent but the place is 60 years old and needs work and needs to redo the promos on the TV channel they have. I paid about 38 a night INCLUDING the resort fee which i think is more than fair. If you were to stay at a Motel 6 you would pay more. Would I stay here again? Maybe considering the price and what I know to expect. Place is clean and seems safe. Security is visible and they are very friendly friendly. Each time I asked about a location of something they introduced themselves and shook my hand. Nice touch. This was not my first trip to Vegas.

Business Trip

It was alright. It seem like my bathroom was not cleaned before I got there. There was hair all on the shower walls. The Towels had a few yellow stains on them. My blanket had a few holes in them. The staff on the other hand was great, which made my experience there comfortable.

Great Hotel, Great Bargin

We stayed two days last week and decided upon our return to Las Vegas for one night a week later to cancel our reservation at another hotel and re-book at the Riviera again. Unbelievably friendly staff. There can be a long wait to check-in, but there is self check-in which works fine and is good as well. The R steak house on site has a great offer for dinner. Check it out.

More money for Vegas

I came in expecting the worst but this hotel was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We knew we'd only be in the room to sleep and get ready in. We got the cheapest option and it was WAY bigger then I expected. The room was spotless and the staff was always nice from the valet, bell boys, dealers at the tables, ect.. It was a cab to go to most places but you could walk to Encore. If you're looking to stay in vegas cheap and still want a clean room I highly recommend the rRvera.

Riviera Las Vegasi

The Riviera has slipped from it's glory days but is still a decent place to stay. Cable channels don't have much of a selection and most surprising for me, was that lack of amenities in the room. Only 1 tiny shampoo & 1 very tiny bar of soap and that's it. No facial tissue or coffee maker make this less attractive that Motel Six. However, if price is the main goal, you can have that.
