family getaway
The room was clean, comfortable. The location was fine for us as we could walk the strip and back, end to end. The location was fantastic to get to the airport!! I was disappointed that there was not a coffee maker in the room. I mean, really, would it cost so much to have one available for room use if requested? I must compliment the lady who was at the counter at the coffee place in the lobby. She was wonderful!! Recommend you stay here.

Nice vacation destination
Very good with nice parking. Has gorgeous rooms and amenities. Good view too. However, it took me more than 25 mins in the line before getting to check in. Prepare for at least 15 mins wait to check in.

Great for the price
The Riveria had a classic feel and look, including lots of old balck and white photos of stars. The casino, hallways and restaurants were very clean. The hotel room was also very clean and the beds were comfortable. The cleaning staff was very friendly and accommodating. This hotel is located at the north end of the strip, across the street from Circus Circus which is nice if you like to walk because you can see the entire strip on foot.

Ilusion Show....
I decided to purchase a VIP ticket to see the Ilusion show. Unfortunately, the hostess(Donna), was very rude to me. I feel that she needs to listen to the customer needs before she jump to a conclusion. I was very dissapointed with her customer service toward me, and got the impresion that hispanic people is not very welcome by her. Overrall, she spoiled my show, I didn't enjoy it after all!!!

Dissapointed
Me and my husband planned to splurge this trip and book two rooms so that we would not have share with our kids! After spending money for two rooms we were not giving adjoining rooms. Which meant me and my husband had to sleep seperately! This defeated the whole purpose of the second room, the room that did connect to ours was empty, I called the front desk explaining the situation and was told the room needed to be cleaned and they weren't doing it tonight! I was shocked, but was told nothing could be done. So we spent the night apart (akward)! Also we had to get key replacements because they continued to stop working and we had to be let in our room 3 times!. Called the front desk numerous times after 10pm and never got an answer! I have never experienced this at any other hotel! We were unable to watch TV because the signal kept going in and out and again no answer at the front desk. The discount was not worth all the dissapoitment! I loved the atmosphere of old Vegas but the customer service was so bad I would never stay again and would be willing to pay triple the price somewhere else if it means getting the basic customer service that any consumer deserves!

Good price for 2 nites' stay
We arrived late. We were told (at the time of booking) that I would either get 1 kind size bed OR 2 double beds, whatever was available. You are not guaranteed the beds you want. For the stay (on a Saturday nite) thankfully we were able to get a non-smoking room with 2 double beds. We got a coupon book which we didn't even use. There were coupons too for "buy one drink get one free" but you had to be gambling or to use that. Thought you got free drinks anyway if you gambled?? anyway, we weren't in the room much anyway. good price for some sleep.

Nightlife tip:
Long walk from hotel
Riviera is right on the strip so you are able to walk to a few bigger hotels on the strip. Otherwise, you're better off driving to the other end of the strip to see all the hotels. Wouldn't recommend walking...it's too far. Although we did check out Gilley's at Treasure Island and that wasn't a bad walk!

Nice place
Staff are nice. Went to eat at the steak restaurant and waited almost an hour to get appetizers. We didn't even get a chance to eat because we had a concert to go to.
