Decent yet not great

I made this reservation the saturday before I took the trip Jan 28th.The price was right.Yet the room was not great. The shower went hot and cold. The parking lots were accessable. The TV was great.Yet the buffet was average and the gambling area was ordinary in terms of atmosphere and action.I liked the hotel was in walking distance of Denny's and 7 eleven.Otherwise the hotel was average at best.

Not so go family getaway

Well when we checked in on Friday, the check in was quick and easy, but when we checked the other party in on Saturday, they did not have the reservation, they would not honor it, with my paperwork, they had to call you for a confirmation, which took about 3 hours, we wanted to start a vacation, earlier, than later. Then we checked out and I got a 11.00 a day resort fee, on top of the nice price, I was suppose to get, now it is not so nice. And then we wanted to eat, and they sent us to a food court, which the food looked like it sat there for a bout 3 days. not good either.

Across the street was a casino, that had circus acts, which is all that corner, had to offer. That whole corner, has nothing, and to find out the marque, had rooms for 39.99 on Sat, when we paid 57.00 plus 11.00 and taxes. Not happy

Deceiving

The picture of the Hotel on the internet does not represent the overall state of the Hotel. The Riviera is an outdated Hotel that needed remodeling many years ago. The TV on your room only have a few chanels. I got the luxury room and when i saw it, believe me, there was nothing in that room that deserve to use the word luxury to descrive it. Provably avarage would it been a more apropieate word.

Two for the show

Hallway and rooms smelled moldy at first. Either aired out or we got used to it. Rooms were clean and not unhappy with our room for the price. We stay there at least once a year. R Steakhouse was good, and buffets ok.

Rivierea Hoel

Room was excellent. Service at returants was slow. This is probably due to the downturn in business in Las Vegas so hotels are maintaining minimum staffing.

Not the Best for Vegas

I guess I should expect low class if I ask for a smoking room. No refrigerator, even though I paid for an upgraded room. I thought the hotel was recently remodeled, but no way was the smoking wing included... the soda machines in the hall didn't work, and the casino was cleaner than my room. I'll stay elsewhere next time...

Beds not as advertised

When I reserved the room, I was given an option to upgrade to queen size beds over the default full size beds. So I paid the extra for the upgrade. Upon checking in, they informed me there were no queen beds only the full size, and what i paid extra for was to be in a different tower. Was not pleased that I paid extra and did receive what was listed as a option.
