Voodoo in the air at this Off-Strip Carnival, starring Penn & Teller
What began at Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino as a tribute to South America's Carnival has expanded to a full off-Strip resort with many assets. Rooms in two towers are all suite-sized with plenty of space to party. Entertainment includes the legendary Penn & Teller magic duo, the sexy "Show In the Sky" parade, Chippendales male revue, DJs at the rooftop VooDoo Lounge and revolving acts at the Crown Theater. Take the one-minute and 10-second VooDoo Skyline zip ride that provides an exciting way to have 360-degree views of The Strip. The seasonal VooDoo beach includes several pools, a waterfall and sandy beach, flair bartenders and cabanas (fees apply).

- Every room is a suite at the Rio! Deluxe suites offer 600 square feet of spacious luxury, with amenities that include a separate dressing area, couch, 32-inch TV, table & chairs, hair dryer, in-suite refrigerator, iron, ironing board and in-suite safe. Two Queen Suites and Suites with Strip View are also available.
- Masquerade Suite
- Each elegantly appointed Masquerade Suite features 1600 square feet and includes all the amenities of a Standard Suite and so much more. Breathtaking 180 degree view of the city, formal dining room with wet bar, master bedroom with Jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower, upgraded sound system, 1 1/2 baths.
- Pet Stay Room
- A special room for those traveling with four-footed friends! Please note that dogs must weigh 50 pounds or less each and be present at the time of check- in. Up to 2 dogs per room are allowed. Dogs are permitted to walk through designated common areas while on a leash and accompanied by the owner. Check in time for PetStay rooms is 4pm; dog owners must be prepared to accommodate your dogs until your room is ready. Dogs are the only animals allowed under the PetStay program. Dogs must be kenneled or out of the room during housekeeping. I got a great rate online. The room was very large with a sectional couch. The bathroom area had a dressing area with sink just outside which was nice for two people getting ready to go out. However, the décor was a bit dated and very worn.

The coffee pot didn't work, the shower curtain wasn't long enough so it was chilly in the shower, and the toilet sprayed you when it flushed. The slot machines could have been looser. The staff was GREAT, they were friendly and helpful. They made the stay worth it.

March, 2013 would be my 3rd check in at Rio.. Affordable price, big suite room. We always rented a car every time we go to Las Vegas so we could go around and visit different casinos. Off the strip---no big deal.

Great stay
Even though the Rio is a little past the strip there are free shuttles every 30 minutes until 1am so it isn't a problem. The nightly shows are great entertainment. Room has fridge for your drinks and snacks. Great place to stay.

great price, but off the strip
The Rio is starting to show its age. The weekend rates are so much cheaper than most of the other hotels. If you are looking to save money....not a bad place to stay. If money is not an issue...stay on the strip.

Great Hotel
Works well for me since it is away from the main strip hotels which was very congested. Hotel had suttles to the central strip which was convenient.

Girls night out
Great Hotel for a cheap price it's 6 minutes drive to the strip .The hotel provides shuttles to the strip so you don't have to get a taxi unless your in a rush then I recommend to get a taxi
