Smack-dab in the middle of the strip!
Debbie & Rick H. Dec 5, 2009
I took my husband to Las Vegas for his birthday because it had been almost 30 years since he'd been there. I chose the Paris ... Las Vegas hotel for it's location and theme. Although we walked through almost all of the hotels on the strip (the Bellagio, Ceasar's Palace, The Venetian, etc) his favorite hotel/casino was the Paris for it's ambience, decor and facade. The central location of the Paris is essential if you're planning to walk the strip, and the Bally's monorail stop is very convenient if you want to visit the hotels/casinos at the north or south ends of the strip, since Bally's and the Paris hotel are connected and the monorail stops at Bally's!

The casino, restaurants and shops are nice. The staff (with the exception of a couple people) are not helpful at all. I ... traveled there with my family and my husbands family for our wedding- we had requested a few weeks ahead of time to all be on the floor. They said at that point it would not be a problem. When we arrived at the hotel, none of us were on the same floor. When we talked to the manager and explained the situation, we were told that asking to be on the same floor is just a request, and they are not obligated to fulfill requests. I also made a reservation for a Red Room...I did not get a red room and was told there was nothing they could do about it. I was put in a less expensive room and not refunded the difference. The worst part about the experience was the sheets. They are rough and scratchy. I was itching all night! My mother and sister were in different rooms and had the same problem. I will definitely not go back to stay and would most definitely not recommend it to anyone.

Our room was incredible. 16th floor with a view of the Bellagio fountains and Eiffel Tower. At such a great rate we were ... certain we would have the worst room, but instead had a beautiful room and fabulous time. Highly recommend this hotel and experience when visiting Las Vegas. Very nice Hotel with a great motif! As a critique for improvement: the ironing board was cheap, worthless and not useable; ... the hair dryer if dropped on your foot would guarantee a black toe or hematoma; the toilet rocked; there was no coffee maker; the hallways smelled like smoke.

The Deuce tourist bus is not worth it. Even though you can buy a 24 hour pass for $7 only the traffic at the strip is so bad that it takes forever waiting for the bus to arrive plus the time you will be sitting inside waiting for the traffic to advance.

Need a fan in bathrooms. Need mini refrig in rooms for guest to use for left overs, pop, and beer that is purchased. Need to educate hotel staff where items are within hotel (example ice, chapel, pool)and where other places in town. Staff gave wrong directions a few times otherwise we were told "I don't know!!!!!" Wait staff at hotel bar SUCKED. Served first round and never came back. Went to bar and bartender got mad. Went to bars outside hotel for better service.

First time in Vegas Nov 27, 2009
It seems when we book through an agency and get a "deal" that the service is lacking. Twice we were locked out of our room ... and had to call security because the keys would not work. One staff member told us we gave her the wrong room number even though security arrived while we were on the phone. The shower was plugged up and we could not get someone to take care of it before we had to leave, without showering, for a meeting. There is no free anything, including coffe. The hotel nickels and dimes you to death. We will not be staying there again. We also complained to management, who did nothing.

The Paris Las Vegas is superbly located for access to all the other attractions on or near the Strip, and the availability of ... good rate deals makes it even more attractive. Large property by normal hotel standards (like everything built on the Strip the last 20 years) but not overwhelming like MGM. Besides the Eiffel Tower replica, not as filled with gimmicky attractions as other resorts (no zoos, gardens, museums, etc.) Rooms well-appointed, there is a classification between "deluxe"/"Red Room"/premium depending mostly on view/décor/floor rather than actual quality of the rooms. Shares Vegas Monorail station with Bally's but be warned, one has to walk all the way across the Bally's side to get to/from Paris from the station/

Ricardo Lembano Nov 20, 2009
The hotel is nice. It just seemed like the French words for everything and the French music was over the top. They tried hard ... to have a Paris theme, but it just felt superficial. Anyway the hallway to my room #641 had scraped up walls and a place where the drywall was obviously kicked in. The rooms were clean, but showed their age. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets felt great. Be prepared to be offered an upsell to the remodeled "Red Rooms" for a special of $40 extra/night(They said the upgrade was normally $100/night. Heck why spend $40 more/night when I was already paying approx $70 a night? why would I bump it up to $110/night? For that I could stay at Wynn or Bellagio with special offers I have received. The curtains in my room had disgusting stains across 5 feet or so. Expect to pay $14.99/day if you want Internet access.

Don't shop in the "convenience stores" inside the hotel. A 3 pack of Gillette disposable razors was $6.05. Great rooms and Location
phil Nov 18, 2009
Paris is located very centrally on the strip near some of the newest properties. We stayed in the standard lowest-rate room. ... The room we stayed in was comfortable, with pleasant art and nice furniture. Certainly upscale from the average holiday inn, but certainly not luxurious. In addition to the bed, we had a desk and chair, two easy chairs, a coffee table, an armoire, and a settee. Our room was at the end of a hall and had windows on two sides with a partial view of the strip. We also had a single-cup coffee machine. Our friends stayed in the same rate room, but theirs was mid-hall with only one window facing away from the strip, no coffee machine, and only one easy chair instead of two (the rest of the furniture was the same). Two fairly minor complaints: 1) No free wi-fi. In this day and age, there is no excuse not to offer free wireless in an upscale hotel. Fortunately, this complaint is somewhat mitigated by the free wireless in the Coffee Bean just next door in the Miracle Mile shops. 2) The front desk staff we checked in with immediately tried to up-sell us to fancier rooms, but she never used the word upgrade. First, she asked if we wanted to stay in a suite, which we declined. Then, she asked if we wanted to stay in a room with a strip view and other amenities "for $55 a night". Confused (and exhausted having arrived early that morning), we thought we were being offered a great deal, and only realized we'd been up-sold when we were walking to our room. We went back to the front desk, and they happily gave us the original rate room we'd reserved. I should note that the front desk staff our friends checked in with didn't attempt to up-sell them at all.
