The room was very nice, but the staff of the Palms Place is what made the trip. Everything that I needed to help my stay or make things easier on me, whether I knew what I was doing or not, was provided by the staff.

First Timer
It was my first time in Las Vegas and I chose to stay a mile off the strip at the Palms. While the king suite was dimly lit, it was gigantic and came with a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. The beds were incredibly comfortable and there was enough space for 3 girls easily. It even came with an iHome! The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the plus side is that you don't have to wait in line for a cab like you do just next door at the Palms casino since the Palms Place is low key. Be forewarned: you must cab it everywhere in Vegas, especially being off the strip. And you can't hail them off the street, you must go to the nearest hotel entrance (hotels have 24/7 cab lines). & They charge $3 on top of the fare for using credit cards. For my second time, I'm definitely staying on the strip, and I suggest you do some sight-seeing to see the hotels first hand and you'll find the one you love. And be ready non-smokers, people smoke everywhere, especially since the restaurants are usually around the casino area. Hold your breath and have fun!!

Nightlife tip:
Not Applicable
Always, ALWAYS get a number of a promoter (not the guys promoting on the street) through some channel to get you on a guest list. It guarantees you admission and usually an open bar for the first half of the evening. Also, research clubs ahead of time and plan which you want to go to each night.

Good Place, but distance is Turn off
The Palms place was wonderful! Love the Rooms, spacious, with a big King size beds! The staff was super friendly, and the room was very clean! I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, but hated the distance in walking from hotel to casino, it about a 3 mins walk away from your room, using the Skytube! The Casino was nice, and cleaned daily! My wife and I really enjoyed the free shuttles to the strip, there was really no need for a Cab!

Good Price
the hotel was great. for an off the strip hotel you would think it might be less that what you would like but the room was amazing and the spa is connected to the casino so you're not walking through the Egyptian desert trying to gamble some money away.
