The Palazzo Resort Hotel and Casino, opened in 2007, is one of the newer Las Vegas Strip accommodations. Sister resort to the Venetian, the curved tower block is framed by European-style bridges, Classical-style vaults, and Baroque-style staircases. There are more than 105,000-square-feet of casino space for those looking to try their luck. For those seeking less Sin City-centric pleasures, the shopping sanctuary of Barney's, the rejuvenating Canyon Ranch SpaClub, or the hotel's own rock-climbing wall are available. Food-wise, guests can try everything from Maine lobster to slow-cooked Indian Snake at Wolfgang Puck's gastronomic CUT Steakhouse.
Key facts
  • 3,068 suites
  • 32 restaurants (at the Palazzo and the Venetian) include: LAVO, CUT Steakhouse, Noodle Asia and Lagasse's Stadium
  • Poolside dining
  • In-suite dining
  • 7 pools
  • 4 hot tubs
  • Cabana rental
  • 4 theaters
  • The Shoppes at the Palazzo

Neighborhood
Situated between The Wynn and the Venetian Hotel & Casino, the Palazzo holds a prominent center-Strip position, great for both the adrenaline of Las Vegas Boulevard and the neon vintage of Fremont Street. And, being close to East Flamingo Road, there's also easy access to east Lake Las Vegas, a manmade lake where celebrities like Celine Dion have been known to escape the rush.
Hints and tips
For an unforgettable breakfast experience, book a suite overlooking the Las Vegas Strip and head down to the Grand Lux Cafe on the casino level.

Grab a fresh coffee and some flaky pastries to take back to your room, while enjoying views of the city from the comfort of your luxury suite.

A Palace, in Italian style....

As the name suggests, The Palazzo is palatial. We got the suite and it was enormous, probably the biggest hotel room I have stayed in. And very opulent. It had a nice entrance, massive bathroom and separate toilet, including separate bath (which fills in about 5 minutes) and and shower. The main room included the bed area and a lounge/sofa and office, which was all superb. We had a view of the Wynn and golf course, although I imagine the view south (towards the strip) is better. The gym is pretty decent as was the pool, and, like many of the other resorts, it has a plethora of shops and restaurants. The only minor drawback is that it is a walk to get to the centre of the strip (ie Bellagio and Paris) and about 40 minutes to get all the way to Luxor etc. All in all, it was superb though.

Vegas Done Right

If you are going to go to the trouble of planning and executing a trip to Las Vegas, you can't go wrong with the suite at the Palazzo. For not much more than a lot of other inferior places on the strip, you can treat yourself like a high roller and stay here. There are places to scrimp, and places to splurge. The Palazzo is definitely the latter.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the quick walk down the strip to the Quad to get some cheaper gambling options without blowing your table money on cabs or leaving yourself too far to go when it's time to hit the sack.

Palazzo 5 star all the way

Second time to stay here and will be back. Having stayed in many hotels on the strip this by far the nicest. From the minute you arrive staff nice , courteous and professional . Rooms amazing , they offer upgrade , you wont need it unless u want a small house . Cleaning staff amazing , gym and pool fantastic. Good food , plus sports book lagasse stadium is man cave . the hotel is a calm oasis before you hit the madness. My only small gripe and this is maybe lady luck , i find the casino very hard to win money in , almost impossible . I also heard few people say the same . Compared to other hotels where i have done well gambling.

Palazzo...Great - Pool...Not So Much

Hotel and Casino were great with all the amenities within short reach. Only thing i didn't like was the pool experience. Staff offered pool passes to Azure but when we reached the pool, they said the passes essentially will do nothing. We had to pay entrance fee to get into a small area of pool. i don't think it was worth paying $20 to go in an area where they will charge you additional $100 to get a chair to sit. Other than the pool experience, everything was great....First time playing the sportsbook and the staff was really nice to tell me how to place the bet.

Prestige Level is worth it!!!!! My opinion anyway

We paid for the prestige level. It was an extra $100 + Tax a night. You do get private check in on 23rd floor. It pays off when there is a huge line at regular check in. You get a good breakfast, not great, but you get eggs, bacon, pastries, hashbrowns, oatmeal, coffee and all the other breakfast basics. I knew it was worth it when we would meet up with our group, who didnt have breakfast at the prestige level, would talk about dropping $50-60 dollars just on breakfast Also, had a happy hour from 5-7 with free drinks and finger foods like chicken fingers, soup, cookies, the menu changed every day. The happy hour really pays off when your dinner reservation is at 8:30 and you need that little snack before hand. Overall, great hotel, would definitely go back and do prestige level
