Good room for the price

I stayed for 2 nights and had an ordinary stay. Reminds me of Motel 6. Would recommend only for a quick visit as a single occupancy.

Kind of a dump, with ripoff's attached

This place is pretty much a dump, by Vegas standards. I had a couple of big cockroaches in my room, the place felt old and a bit dirty, although the linens and bed were clean and well maintained. The bathroom was old, and the tile was cracking in places. As a world traveler, I can deal with all of that stuff though. What I couldn't deal with, however, was the fact that they ripped me off at check in, by announcing that there was an additional $14.99 fee per day, which they said was for internet and other amenities. It said expressly on my reservation printout that wireless internet was INCLUDED in my rate, yet they charged me anyway. When I spoke with the hotel manager, they reduced the rate to $5.99 per day, but that didn't change the fact that it was a bait an switch, and I felt duped and angry. They pulled out a big notebook with printouts from every online travel company, and on each page was highlighted the link that consumers would have to follow to discover the fee. This was their way of proving that they didn't have to remove the service fee, but was also evidence of the fact that every single person who checks in is equally surprised and annoyed by the fee. Because of this, I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. They may have gotten an extra $5.99 per day from me, but they lost my future business forever. I would recommend that you stay somewhere else, before going to this place.

Amenity fees

The hotel was fine, average, nothing really special. The amenity fees were a complete surprise as the booking website did not mention them. $14.99 per day is way overpriced for an average hotel. Neither the booking agency nor the hotel would claim resonsibilty for the lack of notice that this daily fee would be charged

Short stop in Vegas

On our way south we stopped in Las Vegas to rest for the night. This hotel was convenient, easy to find and very reasonably priced.

Great Value

I have stayed at Palace Station before and their staff is excellent and courteous. It may be the biggest point that keeps me gonig back. However, the location is good being off the STRIP, while being next to freeway gives you quick access there. Then the value price on rooms during weekdays are great. The only draw back is what most hotel/casinos are doing is charging a resort fee for services which few use, such as pool & inernet/wifi.
