CityCenter's spruced-up neighbor keeps it fun and classy
"Unpretentiously luxurious" is the catchphrase used by Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, and it definitely holds true. This Las Vegas hotel pays homage to one of Europe's most lavish sites, but its new restaurants, bars, entertainers and penthouse-level boutique HOTEL32 mean you can use the words "opulent" and "swanky" in the same breath. Great hotel in a great location.
What can I say about a 4+ star hotel that hasn't web said before? Everything was great. Comfy beds, fun casino with sociable and enjoyable dealers, an exciting in-house show with lots of delicious food and beverage options right in the hotel. My only gripe was that we seemed to get put in a room that was in need of work. The wallpapering and paint was damaged in several plainly visible locations, the bathroom needed some fresh caulking and paint/wallpaper. Carpet seemed like it was old, dated, and worn. To that end, my reservation had been upgraded from a Spa to a Diamond suite--but there is always a catch, I guess. Still, superficial issues aside, the room was pleasant enough. Especially the giant whirlpool tub, which was a great consolation prize!

Horrible service
Check in was suppose to be at 3pm yet we were not given a room until 5pm. Staff was really rude in regards to out concern about the room. After all we did not get the room we desired.

Great Room, Great Location, Great Price
Stayed for one night just to break up our road trip. Location is great because its right in the middle of the strip. Hotel is very nice and very clean. Really like this hotel.

Clean and Quiet
We were on the 29th floor. The room smelled clean and fresh and the room was quiet. There was a significant line at check-in, but it moved quickly and the staff member was courteous. We received a letter about a high volume of check-outs the day we were to depart. They provided three alternative check-out options and all were fast and easy!

Good Choice
Choosing a Hotel is difficult when you are looking for a good quality affordable place to spend your vacation away from home. This Hotel had it all. I only have 2 comments. First I requested a King size bed and only 2 Queen bed was available which we accepted, with no problem. The other was that I understood I would have Internet service in our room which turned out to be a hard wire connection and not compatible with an IPAD. it was a bit inconvenient and should be noted.

Nice and clean - had all the essencials
Decided to go to Vegas to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend. Hotel was nice and clean; staff was very helpful and efficient. no complaint: the room even had a very nice hair dryer...not the little one you mostly see attached on the wall... Overall, we had a great time and were able to walk almost everywhere. would go back in a heartbeat!

Great value on the Strip
Our stay at the Monte Carlo was quite enjoyable. Is it the most exciting or most luxe place on the strip? No. But it has a reasonably central location on the strip. We paid a little extra for the "high deluxe" floors, which was well worth it. -Room: attractive, updated furniture with big TV. -View: amazing even though it didn't face the Strip. -Bed and pillows were quite comfy (I'm very picky) and no complaints about the linens. -Bathroom wasn't stunning but it was clean and spacious. Only complaint may be the shower, which was like a high powered spittle. Eh. You can and should see all the other exciting casinos, but the Monte Carlo casino has a lot of games and lower minimums to let your money go farther. The cocktail waitresses were also very attentive, which is a definite plus. The only real weakness would be the restaurants. The food court is fine (expect to pay about $2 more per item for typical fast food fare). We tried the Pub and like the beer selection, but the food wasn't worth it. The reviews for all the other restaurants were so poor we didn't even try them. All in all: sleep here and gamble here to get a good bang for your buck, but eat and go sightseeing elsewhere.
