CityCenter's spruced-up neighbor keeps it fun and classy
"Unpretentiously luxurious" is the catchphrase used by Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, and it definitely holds true. This Las Vegas hotel pays homage to one of Europe's most lavish sites, but its new restaurants, bars, entertainers and penthouse-level boutique HOTEL32 mean you can use the words "opulent" and "swanky" in the same breath. Vegas comforts rounding out the Monte Carlo experience include a full spa, salon, serious fitness center and a pool deck with a lazy river, wave pool and cabanas (for a fee).

Fair Value

We got up to our room it was facing all of the new construction. The construction goes on at all hours of day and night. When we phoned the front desk, immediately after arriving to our room and hearing all of the very looud construction, we asked to be moved to any open room facing the strip. We were told there were no open rooms, at all. Now, our entire experience was not so bad. The cocktail waitresses at the slots are very nice, and the staff at the buffet are nice. For the price and location, it's not too bad, but customer service at the front desk and check-in leaves something to be desired.

Not Customer orientated

This hotel need a lot of work in the customer service field. Other then 'fast food being available.. the rest of thr food places are below average.. not an exciting hotel. Servive when a room issue came up was poor and unacceptable. I will never stay there again and when I returned it was common knowledge to Vegas travelers that this is a bad' place to stay.

what a disapointment!

what a disapointment the Monte carlo hotel and casino turned out to be. Visiting Vegas on a brief Honeymoon turned out to be a challenage to be positive and have fun,After being dropped off around Port o Pottys that belonged to the construction site next door, having to walk around thier vehicles with no walkway available we checked in. to find our room a little short on towels the cleaning staff was not pleased with me when I stopped them in the hall to ask for towels to freshen up with.(attitude).To view the pool was a sight ,nothing but construction within feet of the pool area not to mention the noise pollution. the hallway had a outlet cover very loose ...red flagging it to be a safety hazard. the sheets on the bed didn't seem to want to stay tucked in, almost as if they were too small maybe for another size bed . The dinning expirence seemed to be vey limited, and the folks in the buffet area seemed not very friendly. After one day we decided not to spend our money there for food and gaming needs.

TOO FAMILY FRIENDLY

THIS WAS THE 2ND TIME STAYING IN THIS HOTEL IN 4YEARS. WE WERE SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTED. THE SPA/POOL AREA WAS GREAT, HOWEVER WE WERE PUT IN A HANDICAPPED ROOM WITHOUTH REQUESTING THIS. THE FLOORS WERE STAINED DIRTY. THE TOWELS WERE OLD AND STAINED. WE WERE PLACED IN A ROOM WHERE WE CAN SEE THE CURRENT CONSTRUCTION GOING ON. WE WERE AWAKENED BY THE CONSTRUCTION EVERY MORNING AT 5:00 AM. WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN PLACE IN A ROOM NOT OVERLOOKING THE CONSTRUCTION. WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT LEAST ASKED OUR PREFERENCE. THE RESTAURANT SELECTION IS SOMEWHAT LIMITED. THE HOTEL DOES NOT CATER TO DANCING OR LATE NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT. VERY GEARED FOR FAMILIES. WOULD NOT RECOMMED THIS PLACE FOR ADULT ONLY FRIENDS, MORE FOR FAMILY. NOTE THE SPA AND GYM WERE GREAT,ENJOYED VERY MUCH THIS AMENITY, HOWEVER THE GYM FACILITY SHOULD BE FREE AND LESS CHARGE FOR HOTEL GUEST.

Stay away until construction is complete

Well I have stayed at 8 different hotels in Vegas and over 500 hotels in the last 11 year so I do feel that my contribution is valid. The main reason for my dissatisfaction was that there was construction going on right out my window and they stared at 4:45am. We all know that you don't get to sleep at a reasonable hour in Vegas so when you go to bed at 3:00am and expect to sleep till 9 or 10, not happening at the Monte Carlo. I was also disappointed with the friendliness of the dealers usually there are a few cranky ones but it was opposite at this hotel it took sitting a lot of different tables to get a dealer that actually had a personality. I guess in closing I don't recommend this hotel until there at least done with the construction, but for me with all the choices on the strip I will probably never stay at the Monte Carlo ever again.

Still under recovery mode

Bar, restaurants and facilities closed. Construction noise and dirt. Half of pool closed. And even in new Diablo the taps went down and food was late. Room was good, banquet staff great but general hotel was oor. The Casino was remodeled last year but wasn't improved. Except the noise from slots was less. The casino has less tables and the new carpet is garrish.

Nice place if you like to wait 7 hrs to get in your room.

Arrived at Monte Carlo around 10:00 AM and was told it would be cpl or hrs before my room was ready, they even gave me the key to the room. I understood and was told to call in cpl of hrs to make sure room was ready... To make long story short..They could have cared less after they got my money... When i called they said it would probably be 5:00 before I could get in....I went to the room around 2:00 pm..It was FILTHY...Got in at 5:00 and went to front desk and told them that would be my last night and went to the T I and was treated like a King. Was in my room 5 min after ck in...Would not send my worst enemy to Monte Carlo...
