CityCenter's spruced-up neighbor keeps it fun and classy
"Unpretentiously luxurious" is the catchphrase used by Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, and it definitely holds true. This Las Vegas hotel pays homage to one of Europe's most lavish sites, but its new restaurants, bars, entertainers and penthouse-level boutique HOTEL32 mean you can use the words "opulent" and "swanky" in the same breath. Nice value, friendly staff
The Monte Carlo was a nice experience overall. We did have a couple of issues--one with the room key and one with a sluggish bathtub drain, but they were quickly remedied and we received a complimentary lunch for 2 at the Hotel Cafe for our trouble. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was no HBO or Showtime, so that would have been a nice addition, but they did have in-room movies for rent on the TV. There was 24 hour room service--a real plus.

Great Time for Three Couples
The Monte Carlo was a grat place to stay, close to almost everything. The room was clean and the personnel was great. We had all of our meals at the hotel. The food was excellent. We had a wonderful expewrience.

We stayed at the hotel for our meals. They were excellent. We had a lot of choices. We really liked the Market City restaurant. Food was excellent. Good value.

Very friendly
Our experience with this hotel was great, but the construction did alter the atmosphere around the pool. The hotel in itself is beautiful and very well excessible to other hotels on the strip. The center of the strip appeals to us. The dining was fine and pleasant. Our room was large and confortable. I like the fact that everything was there. The only thing I would suggest would be to install rails in the tub area. The reason being is that I had surgery before my trip and felt very insecure when I showered. I will return and looking forward to very soon.

The Monte Carlo has a great location. Walking distance to most other hotels and entertainment. However, noisy construction starting at 6:00 A. M. every day at new City View complex next door. We requested a different room and were given one away from the noise. Everything else was super. Vegas is fantastic.

Make sure you get to the free Hotel experiences ( Bellagio water show, Mirage volcano,Treasure Island TI no less then 30 minutes ahead of time for good viewing spots.

Nice large rooms
I was pleasantly surprised when we inserted our key and walked into the room to find that the room was spacious and overlooked the strip. All of this was on a very low room rate (based on mid-week occupancy). This was the best value for the money I have seen in Las Vegas. Although the Steak House was closed for renovation the Cafe offered the same menu as well as the tradional cafe items and was very tasty. I will stay at the Monte Carlo again and again when I return to Las Vegas on business.

A step up from the strip
What I appreciate most about the Monte Carlo is that there is no need to walk through a smokey casino to get to your room. The reception desk, concierge and elevators - even the shops and pub - are down another hall all together. Of course, I did make it into the casino. But i only had so smell Madges stale cigarette smoke when I chose to.

Monte Carlo, Las Vegas
My husband and I thought this hotel was very clean and had a very friendly staff. I spent majority of the time sunning by the pool while my husband spent alot of his time in the spa and casino. We really had a great vacation.

Good place to stay
Monte Carlo is a good place to stay. It is on the Mandalay Bay side of the strip which is what we were looking for. It has a wonderful 'lazy river' pool that you can float on an inner tube around all day long.
