Since first opening its doors in 1996, the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino has proven itself as one of the most sought-after hotels in Las Vegas. Combining the vibrancy of modern America with traditional, classic aspects of historic Europe, the Monte Carlo is a true blend of opulence and unassuming modesty -featuring marble flooring, flowing fountains and grand archways. The hotel's personal motto is, in fact, 'unpretentiously luxurious', which they absolutely achieve, giving guests the comforting impression that their every need is catered to. Dine on cuisine rustled up by award-winning French Chef Andre Rochat -one of the world's original celebrity chefs before the likes of Todd English and Wolfgang Puck- or play your hand at blackjack in the 102,000-square-foot casino room before catching a performance by the world-famous Blue Man Group, the Monte Carlo's resident entertainment act.

Great vacation getaway

Went to Las Vegas to bowl in the Military Championship tournament and stayed at the hotel because it was on the strip and had good access to most of the attractions we had wanted to see while we were there.

Ok

The casino was way too slow with drinks at the gaming tables. the gym/spa was nice, the Pub restaurant is really good. nice beds, room was nice, shower was terrible. shower head was too low and weak water pressure. overall good place, i can deal with the shower, better up the drink service if they want to see me again though.

Good deal in Vegas

Monte Carlo offers a nice room for a great price. We would have had a great view of the strip from our room on the 30th floor, if it wasn't for the construction of the new "City Center". My husband and I spent most of our days laying by one of their pools . . . which included a wave pool and the lazy river!

Its was OK

The location is obviously great. The Staff is Great. But the room are soooooo outdated. The TV in one of our rooms took 10 times to turn on because its sooo freaking old. The're is mold in the tiles in the bathrooms. We've stayed in other Hotels on the strip that are just as old with BETTER accommodations, but for its price and the location it was worth it. But I dont believe i will be staying here next time.

Monte Carlo...eh....

1. Our room had poor water pressure in the shower and a shower head that wouldnt stay upright. 2. The pool was small and crowded. 3. Don't believe the deals at Diablos resturuant. The staff sucks and they wouldnt honor the $9.99 taco plate deal that is advertised outside the resturuant. The Monte Carlo name does not equal the experienc.

Would Stay Again!

The Hotel is located in the middle of everything. Not too far from anywhere you would want to go except Fremont Street which is a must see! The cafe was the biggest bummer of the trip. Don't go there! The service was horrible! We wanted to eat at the Pub again, but they quit serving food at 10 p.m. Who wants to sit at the bar in the wee hours with nothing to munch on? Not us! We really wanted to enjoy the Dueling Pianos again. I couldn't believe the kitchen was closed at 10...the pianos are supposed to go on through 2 am. Doesn't seem to me that they REALLY wanted to stay open until 2! Upside to the Pub though....GREAT Spinach salad, flatbread pizza and chicken nachos! Unbelievably great selection of Beer as well. We loved the Dragon Noodle restaurant as well! Affordable and the sushi is out of this world! The place is super clean! The slots don't pay out too good. And, undoubtedly there is no such thing as a $5.00 blackjack table anymore at the Monte Carlo either. Major let down! We had to go elsewhere to play 5 dollar black jack. Seriously though, we had a problem with the next door alarm clock going off at 1 a.m. and the security was VERY quick in handling the problem and getting it turned off so we could drift to dream land. All in all we would definitely stay again. No hesitation. The couple of bads were just personal let downs, but the goods were usually GREAT! So take a turn at the Monte Carlo!

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the short walk up to the tram if you want to go down the strip. The stairs you have to climb around the Cosmopolitan are killers. This is one of the few places that you will have to 'hoof it' up stairs instead of grabbing an escalator. They should really fix this. It discourages walkers from going down their side of the street!

This hotel is a nice place to stay if you are the type of person that will not be spending too much time in your room and you want a decent place to shower and sleep. The hotel is located central on the strip and makes for easy foot travel.
