"Unpretentiously luxurious" is the catchphrase used by Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, and it definitely holds true. This Las Vegas hotel pays homage to one of Europe's most lavish sites, but its new restaurants, bars, entertainers and penthouse-level boutique HOTEL32 mean you can use the words "opulent" and "swanky" in the same breath. Good value
My experience at the hotel was great. I thought it was a great hotel for the price. The casino was nice. The rooms were decent, although the bathroom fixtures did show their age. The pool area was nice and relaxing. The food choices were great. I would stay here again for the price. This hotel is located right next to a CVS and is close to the crosswalk to get across the street to the other side of the trip.

Great time for brother's 40th!
Hotel = great location! Craps: free lessons = won some money! Note: be sure to have them teach you "Come" betting strategy (they start with "Place" betting) Overall good value for a group of 7 enjoying Vegas.

Good hotel for the money
This hotel is a little dated. You pay a $20 per day amenities fee, they don't have wifi and the HD TV's do not have HD picture. I probably won't stay here again.

Absolutely wonderful after a tiring week

great location and staff!
The hotel was really nice. The location was great and has good pool too. The only problem we had, was room key. They gave us 4 room keys but three of them did not work. Except the problem, the hotel was really great!

Honeymoon
Very satisfied overall but did not like that our suite was right next to the elevator. The rooms were not very well soundproofed at all, which was also a little lame. Very nice hotel and casino with friendly and helpful staff. I would stay there again, but would request a room not next to the elevator.

Affordable and extremely convenient
The main reason we picked this hotel is because of its location. The hotel is located right in the middle of the Strip and the it has a tram line that goes from Monte Carlo to Aria/Crystals to Bellagio, which is very convenient. The hotel looks decent and not as fancy as other hotels around the area. The hotel had a strong scent as soon as you walk in from outside, almost the smell of detergent overload. One thing that gross me out is the restroom near the food court. The cleanliness and appearance is fine but the smell was horrendous. It smelled like bad cabbage and I had to use the restroom twice and twice I had to hold my breath just so I won't puke. The food court was decent but pricey even for food court standard. I guess it is the same everywhere in Vegas. You'll find Subway, Starbucks, McDonalds, ManchuWok, a mexican food place and a Nathan HotDog/Chicken Tender place. Our room was pretty large and the king size bed was very comfortable. However, it needs a little updating especially the bathroom. Bath tub was little. This is the first hotel that I have been to that does not have a bar refridgerator. Even a Best Western that I have stayed at had a refridgerator and a microwave. It would be nice to have some cold water instead of walking from one end of the hotel to the ice/vending machine near the elevator which is located at the other end. The internet access is free if you bring your own laptop. However, your laptop will have to be connected to the cable on the writing desk, meaning you will have to use your laptop only at the desk and no where else. Being on the 31st floor, the view was awesome but you can still hear the loud music coming from the pool if your room is facing the pool area. Other than that, our stay at Monte Carlo was not too bad and we will definitely return if there is a good sale.
