Since first opening its doors in 1996, the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino has proven itself as one of the most sought-after hotels in Las Vegas. Combining the vibrancy of modern America with traditional, classic aspects of historic Europe, the Monte Carlo is a true blend of opulence and unassuming modesty -featuring marble flooring, flowing fountains and grand archways. The hotel's personal motto is, in fact, 'unpretentiously luxurious', which they absolutely achieve, giving guests the comforting impression that their every need is catered to. Dine on cuisine rustled up by award-winning French Chef Andre Rochat -one of the world's original celebrity chefs before the likes of Todd English and Wolfgang Puck- or play your hand at blackjack in the 102,000-square-foot casino room before catching a performance by the world-famous Blue Man Group, the Monte Carlo's resident entertainment act.

Viva Las Vegas

I've been to Vegas several times and have always wanted to check out the Monte Carlo due to location and the outside of the hotel is beautiful. Inside of the casino is very nice and classy. The rooms are outdated. Our bed was uncomfortable. There was blood on our sheets the last night. The air conditioner was terrible and considering we were there while the average temp was 110+/day it was frustrating. We went into other rooms at other hotels where my family was staying and their rooms were very cool. Also, my boyfriend got his foot ran over by a housekeeping cart as she was in a rush to get onto the elevator as we are getting off. She did not apologize or take any effort to make sure he was okay. Disappointed!

Not as good as I had hoped for

The rooms were very dated, they need updated in a bad way. No coffee makers in the room was a disappointment. Late night (3am) parties going on and nothing was done about it. Yelling/hollering going on for well over an hour. Pool area wouldn't allow me to bring a soda I purchased on premise into the gated area, although the people right behind me were allowed to bring their Starbucks coffee in. Very disappointed in the pool area in general. You basically had to wait until late in the day to get sun. Other resort pools had all day sun -- the design/layout was not planned out carefully. The resort fee charged daily is understandable for those of us who use the services. My 70 year old mother used none of the services, yet the resort would not waive the fees. When I stayed at the Mirage back in April, these fees were waived for my mother. Not fair to be charged if not used. Also, the resort fees should just be included in the overall package. To have to pay additional funds when we get to the resort, KNOWING they are going to be charged, is just an inconvenience. Just include all costs in the total package price. All in all the hotel/resort was okay, location was good, but I would not stay at the Monte Carlo again.

Vegas Aug 2015

Hotel was a decent place for money but room was not clean. A bobby pin and a couple of other things were on floor when we checked in - left them there for two days and then picked up and threw away myself. Bathroom had mold/mildew at corners of tile. This can be easily remedies with a spray. Staff was friendly for the most part. Location is okay but it's on a far end of strip so if you're going to other end, it's a hike. That said, they have a free tram that will get you to the Bellagio which is in the middle so it's not a huge deal. Everyone knows when they go to Vegas they are going to be walking. Drink girls were fewer available than prior trips but we found that at almost all the casinos, not just the Monte Carlo. We probably won't stay there again.
