CityCenter's spruced-up neighbor keeps it fun and classy
"Unpretentiously luxurious" is the catchphrase used by Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, and it definitely holds true. This Las Vegas hotel pays homage to one of Europe's most lavish sites, but its new restaurants, bars, entertainers and penthouse-level boutique HOTEL32 mean you can use the words "opulent" and "swanky" in the same breath. Vegas comforts rounding out the Monte Carlo experience include a full spa, salon, serious fitness center and a pool deck with a lazy river, wave pool and cabanas (for a fee).

  • BRAND Steakhouse serving creative classics with a casino view
  • Monte Carlo's Hotel 32 suites, among the very best on the Strip

Awesome Location

It started off great, as the hotel check-in associate managed to get us a dining credit that we didn't even have coming. He put us in a room early, which is always nice. So many flights get in early and your forced to wait to get your room. The cocktail waitresses were able to keep everyone liquored up, I hate waiting to order a drink. The room was clean, the restaurants were great. A little construction going on, but thats typical of Las Vegas. I avoided this hotel for a long time, thinking it would be a little stuffy for me, but it was actually very inviting, I would stay there again. I liked its location on the strip, dead center of the most popular resorts.

Fun in the Sun

The Monte Carlo was, as we remember when we first visited about 15 years ago, an excellent value for money with an extremely nice staff who were most helpful and caring. The rooms were just fine and clean and of decent size not that one spent too much time in them. The pool area and lazy river were great and to experience our Fun in the Sun. The only negative side to our stay was the new construction going on but let ne just say that was it is complete, the whole complex around the Monte Carlo, is going to out of this world and yet another marvellous attraction for Las Vegas. The location was just fine and convenient with so many things in easy reach.

Not the best, not the worst in Vegas

The Monte Carlo is a relatively affordable hotel that truly does the job. While the dining selections could stand to be improved, and the casino itself is not the most exciting casino on the strip, the rooms are clean, the pool (lazy river) is nice and the staff is helpful. You could obviously do better but you could obviously do worse I would recommend it for the location...it's right next to New York, New York, and right across from the MGM...and for the reasonable prices.

Comfortable and Good Value

We enjoyed our stay at the Monte Carlo. We liked the buffet, and the food court was very handy. The Diablo Restaurant was too expensive! ($16.00 for two beers.) The location was excellent and we would come back after all the construction surrounding the hotel was finished.

Overall Review of The Monte Carlo

The Monte Carlo in Las Vegas was a great place to stay. It was in a convenient location. And the casino wasn't so big that you got lost trying to find your way around. We thought the rooms were spacious and very clean. The room had two chairs and a desk area which made it convenient to play games or just write a letter. The television was in an armior which was nice because you were able to conceal it when not in use. We also liked the fact that in the closet area there was a built in safe that we were able to utilize while in Vegas. I think the only thing we had a problem with was when we took a shower by the time we were done showering we were standing in a pool of water. I had ran into a maintenance man and asked him about it. He said he would check it out, but, I don't believe he ever did because the very next day we had the same problem.

Comfy beds

I really enjoyed the comfort of the queen bed. They were very comfortable. There is a lot of construction next to the hotel but I didn't hear it in the late afternoon or evening.
