CityCenter's spruced-up neighbor keeps it fun and classy
"Unpretentiously luxurious" is the catchphrase used by Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, and it definitely holds true. This Las Vegas hotel pays homage to one of Europe's most lavish sites, but its new restaurants, bars, entertainers and penthouse-level boutique HOTEL32 mean you can use the words "opulent" and "swanky" in the same breath. Vegas comforts rounding out the Monte Carlo experience include a full spa, salon, serious fitness center and a pool deck with a lazy river, wave pool and cabanas (for a fee).

Nice visit

The Monte Carlo was a nice place to stay. I have stayed in Vegas several times for business, and I was please with our visit this time. The hotel was very clean, as was the casino. The room was nothing special, but it was clean. I had a nice run in the casino my last night there, and broke even! I heard the casino was one where people win, and I would agree. The pool was nice. The construction on the City was a little annoying, but we still had a nice time at the pool. The football drink was a good as advertised. I would absolutely recommend the Monte Carlo. You can't beat it for the value.

Easy to get around

The Monte Carlo has a great setup on gettting around as the Lobby & Valet And Pool area, etc all located on one side and the Casino & Restaurants and Showroom on other side of Elevators, making it easy to get around and comfortable without ending up in the wrong area. Valet was quick and helpful to give us advice wherever we were going to . The room was very large with nice closet and a safe in the wall for your jewelry etc. Very clean and nice bathroom. I would definitely recommend it and the price was very fair.Located on the Strip next to the Bellagio and although a lot of construction going on, easy to get in and out.

Monte Carlo, A Diamond in the Rough

Beautiful architectural details of European Chic and spacious looking... Staff observers cleanliness and service... Many options for shopping and eating that fits several budget levels. Pool area was crowded and surrounded by ongoing Construction. Location is ideal right in the middle of the strip and accessible to convenience stores and buses. Hope to return when construction is done. Above average deal for your money.

pool used to be great

I've stayed at the Monte Carlo several times, and have always been quite happy with it. But this time, I was a little disappointed. The pool area was extremely crowded and surrounded by construction. It is a much smaller area than I remember. The chairs are so close together that you can't get in and out. The bedding could be upgraded. The shops have gone discount, and the brew pub no longer brews beer. All the tables were $10.00 minimum and up. I heard lots of people say they miss the $5 tables. There were lots of empty ones. May be a sign of the times. On the upside, the bartenders were great. Friendly staff. And Diablo's had good food.

Great location

At check in the front desk person was very professional and friendly and was able to check me in early so I was very happy with his service. The location of this hotel was also very good and I was also very happy with my choice in that regard. However, a few things were not very good. The maid didn't leave hand towels a couple of the nights I'd stayed there (I was there 4 nights), the towels that were left didn't seem very fresh (they were stinky), a couple of the restaurants there were pretty awful and the front desk staff gave me the runaround when I asked about booking a shuttle to the airport for the next morning. I was passed to a couple of different people and was told at the end that if I went to the lobby one of the staff would call them and arrange it for me.. When I did I was then told that their telephones didn't phone outside of the hotel (!!) I finally spoke to someone that understood the concept of customer service and was able to book my shuttle to the airport. I'd recommend the hotel based on location and price but would tell them to avoid the restaurants in there and to not expect much from all of the staff.

Great breaks, but not reasonable

The hotel location is very good to look around the strip. However, there is construction at the next to the hotel, so view was interupted seriously. Though the price was very low, I think it needs to decrese more.

Nice staff and they are helpful

The buffet in this hotel is very good with a reasonable price. The casino is also good and you can always get free 10~20 bucks coupon to play the slot machine. Not far away from the place of O-Show, Jubeelii show. Only 5~10 minutes walk. And it's close to M&M world and Cocacola World. Nice place with nice price. Enjoy it.
