Best luxury hotel on the Strip

Everything at Mandarin Oriental is top-notch! The rooms are inviting and comfortable, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the amenities are superb, and the dining is fantastic. Don't miss the lobby bar, and be sure to grab some cocktails by the pool as well. Things are pricey here, but that is to be expected at a high-end luxury hotel such as this. One caution for guests is to request a room that is not next to the elevators, since the noise from the elevators going up and down sounds like a subway train going by the room (we were easily relocated to a quieter room after bringing this matter to the attention of the front desk, but it would have been easier to avoid this altogether if I had made the request at check-in). Crystals mall and Aria casino are both just a short walk from Mandarin, and the mid-Strip location provides easy access to all other Strip destinations.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Dining options at Mandarin are somewhat limited and pretty expensive, so don't hesitate to take advantage of the many other restaurants nearby (such as at Aria, Crystals or Cosmopolitan). A favorite of mine is Maestro's Ocean Club at Crystals shopping mall.

Nirvana in Nevada

That's what the book in the room says, and I believe it. You can stay in other places, and the stay may be just fine. However, at the Mandarin, everything is always just a little bit better. The room service. The technology. The room acoutrements. As a whole, the Mandarins are the best hotels I've ever stayed in, in the U.S. or overseas.

Lovely in Vegas

Stayed at the Mandarin over labor day. with the craziness of Vegas, it was lovely to have a quiet peaceful place to call home. Don't stay here if you want a party hotel. stay here if you want a peaceful elegant pampered stay. Staff is wonderful...beds are heavenly!!

A piece of heaven in the city of sin

This hotel was fantastic! Great customer service and so quiet. Great place to stay if you want to get away from the craziness outside. We loved this place and would certainly stay again in the future.

First visit to Vegas

Nice hotel, good location on the strip, very quiet. However, cost of food/restaurants is way too much. Chech the menu on line before booking so you see if you are willing to pay that kind of money (a beer is $15, 2 coffee and 2 bagels for take-out was $21.00). We bought most of our food at the CVS Pharmacy next door, losts of fresh sandwiches, salads, fruits and vegetables while we asked for a spare fridge in our room. I was a bit disappointed by the cleanliness of the room especially the floor. I expect the floor to be mopped in a 5 star hotel. I will not return to this hotel.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

The North Premium Outlet is worth going to; lots of stores, however the South Premium Outlet was not really worth our time. If you have to go shopping aim for the North Outlet, a short taxi ride.

The best in Vegas

Take note of the vast majority of reviews, for the person who wants a place to sleep peacefully in quality accommodation, this hotel is a must in Vegas. It is perfectly situated in the middle of the Strip and exudes class. We were first time visitors to Vegas, but would not go anywhere else if we return. We had breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi which we highly recommend (be prepared to wait a short while for patio seating - worth it).

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

Go see 'Love' by Cirque de Soleil at the Mirage - outstanding show. We booked our tickets directly at the Mirage box office and got better rates than on the discount shop on the Strip.

Amazing Service

I was greeted at the door immediately when my taxi pulled up at 2am (flight delays...) and my luggage was whisked. Up to the lobby (on the 23rd floor). At the receiving desk, the very pleasant man offered a moist towel and then picked out a corner suite that he said would offer a great view. If I didn't care for the room he said that he would be happy to provide other accommodations. When I walked in to my room, the blackouts and shades automatically opened to reveal an incredible 20th floor view of the Strip. Not sure if I was upgraded, but I called the front desk to say thanks and that the room would be acceptable. The room was spotless, smartly designed (remote control lights/shades), outlets easily accessible on the desk and TV stand (for charging, ironing). I accidently pressed the room's privacy button and then left the hotel a few hours later for a conference. When I returned later that night (greeted at the door "welcome home, sir") a note at the door read that my room had not been cleaned. I called housekeeping and in 5 minutes there was a very cordial man at my door who had the room completely cleaned and restocked in a flash. If I had to nitpick, I'd say that room service was somewhat pricey - pad Thai and a piece of cake was $60. But I should also admit it was delicious, served with a warm pot of premium tea and at my door in less than 20 minutes. This hotel goes above and beyond in every respect.
