Highlighting soul-inspired, regional cuisine, entrees include Creole and Cajun staples such as jambalaya, gumbo and ettoufee, as well as Southern favorites like fried catfish, barbecued ribs, wood-fire pizza and Blues burgers. The renowned Sunday Gospel Brunch features the best in live Gospel performances and an all-you-can eat southern style buffet.
rumjungle
From the creators of China Grill, rumjungle is designed to take the art of food and entertainment to new levels. Guests entering rumjungle are treated to a dancing waterfall which transforms into a soothing wall of water. Volcanic mountains of rum and spirits rise up from an illuminated bar. Cooked over a giant fire pit that serves as a backdrop for a pulsating dance floor framed by "dueling congas," many entrees from the tropically- inspired menu are served on flaming skewers Rodizio style. Add an incredible list of exotic drinks and dancing to Latin, Caribbean and African beats until the wee hours of the morning and you have rumjungle.
StripSteak
Mandalay Bay is proud to welcome acclaimed chef Michael Mina's latest trendy, hip, fun dining venture StripSteak. Located where the former 3950 restaurant resided, this refreshing new approach to the upscale steakhouse includes a stylish bar that makes StripSteak the quintessential place to eat, mingle, and enjoy the classic cocktail experience.
Wolfgang Puck's Trattoria del Lupo
Wolfgang Puck's Italian bistro, Trattoria del Lupo, features Italian classics with traditional and contemporary influences, and served in an airy, cafe-like setting. The menu features an array of fresh seafood, pasta featuring Wolfgang's lasagna with beef, veal and ricotta and gourmet pizzas, from braised lamb ossobuco with pears, gorgonzola and watercress to chicken scaloppini with wild mushrooms and marsala florio. Private dining is available.
Red White and Blue
This innovative restaurant experience combines three American dining selections. Red offers regional American cuisine featuring an Oyster Bar complete with market fresh jumbo shrimp, Oysters and Maine lobster. White offers croissants, muffins and Danish, a distinct selection of fine coffees and delicious desserts to finish lunch or dinner. Blue offers outdoor/indoor dining serving casual breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
Red Square
This Russian themed restaurant and nightspot is one of the coolest places in town. Famous for its private vodka lockers, frozen ice bar, and a selection of more than 100 frozen vodkas and infusions, martinis and Russian-inspired cocktails. Plush, private red velvet banquettes complement the dazzling Russian-inspired decor. Voted best bar in America by Playboy Magazine in 2000.

No bang for the buck!

Mandalay Bay is one of many hotels under the MGM/Mirage Corporation. Their mision statement is ...exceptional customer service. And 'our dedicated staff of overr $70,000 employees are committed to providing an unsurpassed experience for everyone one of our guests. They really missed the mark here! Customer service was pathetic. From the moment my family checked in to the time of our departure, their was zero positive interaction. This is not a sour grapes response...I actually won at the tables. The rooms are very nice, but when you have to wade through smokie halls, trays and trash scattered abundantly from your room to the elevator, it is quite sad. It was near impossible to park your car with valet...I had already checked in and was a current guest at the hotel and I was turned away by a valet. The pools are very cool and pretty exciting for the kids. Too bad you couldn't get service for a beverage. When we entered the facility, the lifeguards/employees were very poor with their meet and great and I felt I was doing them a favor by being there. Not to mention nearly having to beg for additional towels. Not once in 3 days did we we feel any sort of 'specialness'. It was if we were there to donate our money. I have been coming to Las Vegas ever since I was a young boy. This was the first time we brought our daughter (age 9). My wife and I were married in Vegas 11 years ago. The town holds many special memories...unfortunately this was a very negative experience! I will never spend another night there at Mandalay Bay. I'll take my money and my business to one of the many other hotels outside the MGM circle.

You name it, you can find anything in Vegas. Mandalay has a nice choice of shops. Unfortunately you are at the end of the strip and just about everything is NORTH of the building. Some of the best shows are also outside the building.

Brian

Over Priced, Rooms where just ok, The food was ok But over priced and i will never go back again. There just out to get your money and soak you for everything you do. What happen to the good old days where a cup of coffee didn?t cost you $10.95. All the restaurants? where over priced 79.00 up to 180.00 for a steak ouch..

Not recommended

Hotel staff was very rude. I had a facial done in the spa and my face was bruised on my cheek bones and from her using tweezers to my skin my face got big holes in it. I had to walk around like this the rest of my vacation and when I complained to the hotel staff they acted like it was not there problem and then when I talk to the spa they said to file a incident report and it would go to there customer service and maybe there would be a refund. As far as the hotel itself there were so many kids there. I have 2 kids of my own but I would not bring them to Vegas to the middle of a drinking and drunk fest. We will not be returning to this hotel nor will I ever recommend it to others. in my eyes this high star hotel should get a 1 star.

Ultimately dissapointing

While the hotel is beautiful, the doors all slammed loudly and the pool closed every night at 7:00. This is Vegas - it should be open all night. There was also someone elses things under our bed. Staff was unfriendly, seemed to be unhappy to be at work. I would recommend any other Hotel before this one, the only good thing would be the lazy river, but beware -entertubes need to be purchased for $25 each!

very disappointed

I was very disappointed to learn that there was a fee of 30.00 per day to use the gym and there was also a fee of 15.00 for daily in room internet access. The info on the hotel and room lead me to believe that there was no charges for either. I was also found the employees that work at the pool to be very rude. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Worst Customer Service in Vegas

Our credit card was given to an unauthorized user at a bar inside the hotel. Also, if my own husband couldn't put a drink on my tab because I was in the bathroom why would the bartender give his card to someone else? The user then took that card to another bar inside the hotel and charged 300$ in unauthorized charges. The bar manager could not provide us with the signed receipt and could not explain why they did not check ID because she was "too busy". The hotel manager's response was that it was too bad but we got robbed.I'm still trying to recover my funds but the hotel did nothing about this and all of the establishments were inside the hotel! Also, if ID wasn't checked at Eye Candy then how did the bartender know that the unauthorized patron was 21? Horrible experience.

Pass up if you are over 25

Our room was on the 4th floor and facing a barren looking top of a parking structure. Room was overall okay however we were dismayed to discover that they charge $15 per day for wi-fi use-What a drag! They continuously pump pop/dance music in the lobbies and the crowd looked like they had just turned 21 and followed the fashion advice of mainstream fashion where apparently less is more? We are in our mid-30's and consider ourselves to be pretty hip however, we just could not get over being faced with kids yelling things like "oh my gawd" everywhere we went. We will never stay here again and will not recommend it to any of our friends. We went by the Bellagio and that seemed more our style.

4 Star Hotel, ZERO Star service

We stayed their for a conference, Everything was fine until something went wrong, then they were LOST and I receive the WORST service of my life... My bad, I forgot my cellphone charger in my room before I checked out and did not realize for about six hours. I can't be the only one right? I asked the taxi stand attendant whom I should contact, he referred me to the concierge, who referred me to the front desk, who referred me to security, who referred me to house keeping... Keep in mind that every time I had to find someone else it was a mile walk from one post to another... Finally I picked up a house phone and requested to speak to a manager, FINALLY the rep who answered the phone had a clue about what customer service is supposed to be! She asked me to meet her at the front desk in 15 minutes and she woudl have my stuff... She did indeed and I was still able to make my flight. The main question here is... Why did I have to walk 4 or 5 miles and talk to at least 9 people over the course of just over an hour and a half to find customer service.... This was a four star hotel. My standards are not such that a "4 star hotel" would have to work to hard to accomplish. I was disappointed and shocked at the obvious lack of a "customer service culture" Not to mention NOTHING in this hotel comes for free, The way they made me feel was zero star service is free, anything better is going to cost you, for example Internet access, a fridge in your room (except for minibar)or to mail yourself a package they charge an extra fee for everything. Long and short... if you are looking for anything remotely reflecting customer service, Look elsewhere

If you need something, try to talk to a manager, this hotel does not have much of a service oriented culture. Only 1 in 9 of their employees really cared or tried to resolve my problem

Nothing exceptional in comparion to other hotels I have stayed at. The food was nothing exceptional to speak of & was expensive. The environment was just as smoky as other casinos The staff did not go out of their way to be friendly The only good thing I can mention is that my room was ready for check-in at 11:am When phoning the front desk inquiring about the shutttle bus service for pick up back to the airport, the front desk transfers the call to the shuttle service and bills the call to you room for a fee of $3.75, which the guest is responsible for paying DONT open the mini bar unless you plan on drinking from it: don't even place your own water in this frig or you will be charged. It is weight sensitive. I was not really impressed with this hotel. I am not sure how it came to be rated a 4-star facility. It was OK. Not horrible, but not great

bring COMFORTABLE walking shoes--sneakers. Bring warm clothing--sweaters, jacket, hat. After 4pm, the temperature really starts dropping. Long walks to get to everything. Cath the all day bus or Monorail. Go futher downtown near Circus Circus to get the best buy on alcoholic drinks--cheaper drinks with more alcohol
