Neighborhood
The Mandalay Bay Hotel is on South Las Vegas Boulevard, part of the official Vegas Strip, near to the Bali Hai Golf Course, and just up from the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. From here, it's a six-minute drive to McCarran Airport (LAS). Across the road, guests can see the Little Church of the West: a wedding venue, Vegas institution, and funky jewel on the National Register of Historic Places, all rolled into one.
Hints and tips
Due to the hotel's location near the bottom of the Boulevard, getting around may be easier by monorail or bus.  There is a three-day bus pass available to ride the Deuce buses if you're on a quick business stay, and one-day passes are relatively inexpensive for vacationers.

Delivers what it promises.

loved the Hotel and pool.Close to the airport. One of the nicer hotels I have stayed at.One word of caution with the mini-bar refrigerator,it is movement sensitive and will charge you if you pick up any item.I found that out at check-out and I spent 20 min getting it straightened out. They did remove the charges.

Plesant Stay

Mostly we enjoyed the fine dinning, beautiful pools, and relaxing in the room. The hotel was walking distance from the strip when you took the tram which ran every 10-15 minutes. The pools were very crowded and it was hard to find a place to sit. Also we had people in rooms on each side of us and you could hear them at all hours of the night.

Beautiful place, reasonable price

We went to Vegas for the first time, just to get away for a few days. The Mandalay Bay was beautiful and, once we were in our room, it was quiet and comfortable. Anything we had to do at the lobby level took extra time due to the high number of people. The staff was very pleasant to work with. The views were great since the hotel is at the south end of the strip and you can look right down it if you are on the right side of the hotel. The bathroom is the best part of the room! It was really beautiful! The pools and lazy river were also a lot of fun!

Entertainment tip: Not Applicable

We weren't told this but found out on our last day, but the concierge desk and other places around the hotel (like taxies) have coupons for shows, the shark reef, the roller coaster at NYNY, etc. It's pricey to do a lot around Vegas, but those coupons could have helped a bit.

Lovely hotel for the price

The hotel was very nice for the price. My children, our friends and I were all happy with the hotel. We would gladly stay there again. However, we would prefer that the hotel have more fast food options. Also, the hotel is at one end of the Strip. It is not the ideal location but it is still close enough to other hotels we wanted to visit while we were there.

Mandalay Bay

This hotel was beautiful. The only downside was that we could hear other people in the hallways really early in the morning, it didn't seem very soundproof. But, overall the experience was truly wonderful, and I would stay there again.

Great place to stay!

I went with friends for a bachelorette party and it was awesome. The staff was friendly and VERY accommodating. The room was clean and we had everything we needed. The only thing that I would warn about staying at this hotel is that it is pretty far up on the strip, meaning that it is a bit of a walk to get to places like Caesar's Palace or the Bellagio. Otherwise, I would highly recommend Mandalay Bay.
