staff was very helpful and accomodating. the room was nice, but some updating is needed. worn carpet and walls. looks like new carpet was put into the halls. that was nice. also it would be good if the elevators from the parking garage were fixed. we were in many hotels and their elevators were very nice especially as your first impression into a hotel. mandalay bay's needed work. one had holes in the wall. an easy update would help your first impression. overall though a very nice place to stay.

Vegas bday vacation

Overall, the hotel was pretty nice. The best feature was the wave pool. Some of the staff members were rude and not helpful at all. We had to change our room because the bathroom was dirty. Our view was overlooking a construction site. We tried to upgrade and the lady who "helped" us said they didn't have any suites left. We then got another room (same type) overlooking the pool. It appeared clean, but a snack was missing from the mini bar and one of the drawers of the dresser did not open. Best part was Nicholas who worked at check-in and gave us $100 credit. Also, Aaron, best bartender ever!! He made it worth while. The hotel is too far down the strip and makes it difficult to get to the other casinos.

getaway vacation from real life

They put us on the smoking floor (floor 10) and the room had a strong smoke smell. We specifically requested for a non-smoking room. After one day we changed our room. This time they gave us a room with someone in already! So we had to run downstairs and get another room change. With all of this run around we almost missed our grand canyon tour. Really was disappointed with the room. The view from the room is really bad. This was the special 610 sqft spa suite. We don't recommend Mandalay Bay. So many better choices out there!

Beautiful and Comfortable

We loved our stay at Mandalay Bay. The hotel service from check in to check out was wonderful. The room was spotless and clean. The only suggestion I would have is to have a variety of pillows for your guests. The ones used are very firm and too plump...very hard to sleep on. But everything else was great. The pools were so nice....not too overcrowded. The spa facility was top notch.

Almost perfect

We were in town for a family wedding. We had a great time, but missed having a coffeemaker in our room and a refridgerator that we could use without being afraid of being charged for moving bottles. The pools were great, but having to pay to use the lazy river tubes was a bit much. Beware of the $25 a day resort fee, and be ready to pay it as you check out. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff were very helpful.

AWESOME Pool!

If you are looking to be in the middle of all the action, skip this hotel but if you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing place with the best pool in Vegas, this place is your ticket. We were so pleased with Mandalay Bay that we are planning to return. A little bit away from the heart of the strip but we were not interested in being in the middle of the noise and crowds. Highly recommend!
