Take the Vegas Strip and amplify it exponentially. What do you get? MGM Grand Las Vegas! With AAA Four Diamond Award winning restaurants Shibuya, Craftsteak, Pearl, Fiamma, SeaBLUE, and NOBHILL, and AAA Five Diamond Award winner L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, MGM Grand is a culinary landmark in Las Vegas. And casual dining fare at Emeril's, Wolfgang Puck's, and The Studio Cafe guarantees something for every appetite. You'll have access to exciting, original shows like KA, the unprecedented new spectacle from Cirque du Soleil, and Las Vegas' biggest entertainment venue the Grand Garden Arena. The MGM Grand Garden Arena is home to concerts, championship boxing and premier sporting and special events, and is also home to the annual FOX Billboard Music Award and the annual Andre Agassi Grand Slam for Children Benefit. Catch the hottest acts at the intimate 740-seat Hollywood Theatre. With a dramatic entryway, vaulted ceiling and velvet curtains, and plush red booths surrounding the 1,800 square foot stage, the Hollywood Theatre is home to world class entertainment and internationally acclaimed shows nightly, attracting some of today's top performers including Tom Jones, David Copperfield and Howie Mandel. And now you can thrill to MGM Grand's Crazy Horse Paris - in which beautiful dancers in breathtaking choreography combine with stunning light displays and film to re-invent the female form as art - an awe-inspiring celebration of the art of the nude. Only MGM Grand offers this caliber of entertainment options in Las Vegas. Come alive at hotter nightclubs like Studio 54 - the legendary '70s nightclub in a modern interpretation, blending high-energy music with a wilder scene than the '70s ever had - and hipper bars like the new ultra lounge, Tabu, where you're invited but your inhibitions aren't. Internationally renowned DJs conjure a cool and casual vibe and stunning models/servers tempt with nouveau classic cocktails. Are you ready for a nightspot that's too hot to touch? Drink in the cool elegance of martini bar Zuri or groove to the progressive beats at Centrifuge. Savor the sizzling servers and cocktails of Rouge, or relax and unwind in the hip West Wing Bar. It's all up to you. Rest, rejuvenate, get fit and get pampered in the MGM Grand Spa, the MGM Fitness Center and the Cristophe Salon, or with In-room Massage Service. Or take advantage of the Grand Pool Complex, five shimmering swimming pools, three whirlpools and a meandering river, surrounded by lush foliage, bridges, fountains and waterfalls. Other amenities include Hollywood Theatre, Lion Habitat, Spa, Christophe Salon and Pool, laundry service, a full-service beauty salon, currency exchange, safety deposit box. MGM Grand prides itself not on a theme, but on delivering a pure, amplified, Las Vegas experience. It's Las Vegas to the nth degree. Ladies and gentlemen, this is maximum Vegas. ** Maximum stay is 14 nights - MGM Grand will not honor a booking longer than 14 nights. **

Dining

Craftsteak

Celebrity chef Tom Colicchio insists on the finest ingredients from small family farms and other specialized venues. A James Beard award-winning chef, Colicchio is emphatic when it comes to creating menu items that appeal to all lovers of fine food. Using the purest ingredients and a philosophy that simpler is better, he makes every dish burst forth with flavor. While this famous steakhouse offers mainstays like Kobe Beef, it also tempts your taste buds with veal, salmon and lobster dishes.

Nobhill

Inspired by San Francisco neighborhood eateries, chef Michael Mina has organic produce and poultry flown in direct from San Francisco to capture the taste and feel of the Bay Area. The James Beard award-winning chef's signature dishes like North Beach Cioppino and Lobster Pot Pie pay tribute to the City by the Bay, while the cozy bar and lounge make guests feel right at home.

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill

One of the most recognizable names in food today - Wolfgang Puck - reinvents American bar and grill food. Here, you'll find a unique interpretation of California cuisine prepared with a new spirit. The combination is best described as beachfront bistro meets classic bar and grill. And the taste is, well, let's just say you have to try this one. After all, a Wolfgang Puck restaurant is more than a restaurant, it's an experience.

Grand Wok and Sushi Bar

A culinary cross-section of Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean and Vietnamese, the Grand Wok satisfies your craving for Asian cuisine. So, where to start? How about the sushi bar? With so many choices, you'll find something new every time you visit. The restaurant's bamboo and black granite accents make the perfect backdrop for the cascading waterfall and polished stone pond.

Fiamma Trattoria

Straight from SoHo, where it earned the coveted Three Star designation from The New York Times, Fiamma presents traditional Italian cuisine in sleek, sexy surroundings. Enjoy cocktails fireside before or after dinner. But it is the food that is the star.

Emeril's

You've seen his TV show, you've read his cookbooks, now sample the signature dishes of one of America's most popular chefs - Emeril Lagasse. The celebrity chef gives Las Vegas fine dining his signature "bam!" With scallops from Maine, pike from the Midwest, and chicken from Alabama, Emeril's serves a fresh and distinctive blend of Creole/Cajun specialties. Add to that a wine list that received Wine Spectator's 1999 "Best of Award of Excellence," and funky New Orleans architecture, and you'll feel closer to Bourbon Street than the Vegas Strip.

L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon

Known around the world as "Chef of the Century," legendary French Chef Joel Robuchon has come straight out of retirement to open his very first and only fine dining French restaurant in the United States. The French cuisine of the "Chef of the Century" is reason enough to visit L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon. Add the unique counter service where your dinner is prepared right before your eyes, and you have a combination that is unlike any other. Joel Robuchon caters to a sophisticated palate that features a menu of his finer specialties that redefines Las Vegas fine dining at its best. Enjoy tapas, a tasting menu, and wines from around the world in a friendly and interactive atmosphere.

Shibuya

Expansive and spectacular, it's the ultimate destination for Japanese cuisine. Direct from the stylish Tokyo district that bears its name, Shibuya features freshly prepared ingredients, stellar sushi, and the widest sake selection this side of the Pacific. All served in an airy and ambient setting. Experience the sleek urban elegance of Shibuya. And transport yourself to the Far-from-ordinary East.

Casual Dining

Part adventure, part restaurant and wholly entertaining for the whole family, the Rainforest Cafe recreates a tropical rainforest with waterfalls, lush vegetation, and indigenous creatures. You enter through a 10,000-gallon double archway aquarium. Inside the family-style restaurant, the food continues the rainforest theme with the Primal Steak, Rumble in the Jungle Turkey Pita, and other exotic fare. Other more casual dining includes the wide-ranging menu of the Art Deco-era Studio Cafe, the fine sandwiches at 'wichcraft and Stage Deli, the poolside Cabana Grill and the famed MGM Grand Buffet.

Pearl

Cuisine with an essence of the Canton and Shanghai provinces, prepared utilizing the four Chinese cooking methods: steamed, braised, baked and fried. Although live seafood is the specialty, chef Kai-Wa Yau prefers a menu that is constantly changing to take advantage of seasonal offerings. The masterful cooking is paired with a serene and contemporary Chinese atmosphere.

Diego

Traditional recipes hand-picked from the Mexican countryside create the foundation for Diego's bold menu. Then he makes them completely his own. Using honest ingredients and modern techniques, he enlivens authentic Mexican dishes with new twists to create new favorites like carne asada or cochinita pibil. You'll find the bright and vibrant restaurant just as exciting as the food.

Seablue

Featured on the cover of Wine Spectator, SEABLUE is the creation of James Beard award-winning chef Michael Mina. Inspired by the bustling ports and marketplaces of the Mediterranean, the innovative restaurant's two lively open kitchens prepare seafood over a wood-fired grill. The ocean theme is carried throughout the space with walls of stone and water.

Bungalow Suites

Petite suite. Nearly the size of a New York City studio apartment, our 675-square-foot petite suites are big on comfort. For starters, the extended living space includes a comfortable conversation area, complete with plush sofa, chair and coffee table. Even the bathroom puts the emphasis on room with a separate tub and shower. Overall, the style is casual elegance with the comforts of home. In addition, all rooms offer high-speed Internet access. Room Amenities include oversized Italian marble master bath, dual-sink vanity, separate shower and bathtub, extra living space to accommodate guests, desk area, and additional TV in sitting area.

West Wing Rooms

Design rules. For guests looking for a more non-traditional Las Vegas experience, the West Wing sets the standard. A showcase of contemporary design, these sleek, stylish accommodations offer a modern alternative. Recently renovated, the clean design is complemented by flat screen TVs, DVD players, Bose Wave radios and TVs in the bathroom mirror. Even the king-size beds and crisp linens make a strong design statement. West Wing rooms are approximately 350 square feet, and also feature luxuriously comfortable pillow-topped king-size bed, high-speed Internet access, and convenient access to the Strip.

Grand Tower Deluxe Rooms

Live large. At 446 square feet, these deluxe rooms at MGM Grand are more spacious than the average room in Las Vegas. The amenities also speak to a grander lifestyle, offering our discerning guests the ultimate in elegance and comfort. Decorated in a classic motif, all Grand Tower Rooms boast custom black and white marble bathrooms, thick cotton towels, roomy closets, safes, and wireless high-speed Internet access; one luxurious king bed, oversized vanity, convenient sitting area and large work desk.

Celebrity Spa Suites

Star treatment. This stylish suite provides classic comfort in the heart of Vegas. At 694 square feet, the Celebrity Spa Suites are slightly larger than our Petite Suite. The extra space allows for an oversized bedroom, room for a dining room table with seating for four, and an extended living area separated from the bedroom by a large dresser and wet bar. But it's the whirlpool spa that gives this famous suite its celebrity status. All rooms offer high-speed Internet access. Room Amenities include spacious Italian marble whirlpool tub, separate shower, oversized bathroom with dual-sink vanity, and extended living area.

Would recommend to a friend!

I liked my stay with MGM and would recommend it to others in the future. The rooms were nice, the beds quite comfortable and ... the bathroom was large. However, we arrived early and were given a time as to when our room would be ready. We checked back two more times and it wasn't ready so we eventually just took another room. It was not a major issue but it was a bit inconvenient.

MGM stay 11-15----11-20

Stone Nov 22, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

Staff was nice at casino. The front desk staff could have helped out more but some of the people were nice. All in all it ... was a good stay. Bell Staff was excellent. One night the alarm went off and it was the scariest thing ever. The security staff could have done a better job explaining what happened or assuring me and my girlfriend that we were safe. It woke me up in the middle of the night and I couldn't get back to sleep! I had an extremely important meeting the next day and I felt horrible due to the lack of sleep. That was the only thing negative I have to say. Everything else was alright.

Although we made a reservation for 2 deluxe rooms, they reserved two standard rooms for us. We were surprised when we ... entered the rooms. We immediately called the front desk and moved us to the deluxe rooms. If we did not complain, they would have kept us in the standard rooms. The standard rooms are complete opposites of the deluxe rooms. We wished that they delivered what we had reserved the first time. The hotel's reputation is at stake here. Other than this, the hotel is great.

Pleasant

Matthew Nov 19, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

The MGM was pleasant - not amazing, but certainly good. The casino (unescapable in LV as you enter and leave the hotel) is ... festive without being overbearing. My room was comfortable - nothing splashy. The bed was very comfortable. Check-in was fast and painless even though there were a large number of guest. As with most of LV these days the food options were good but overpriced. Cheap room rates, obscene food costs - and I say that as a Manhattanite. The tram worked very well getting to and from the convention center and other hotels.

Quick BIZ Trip

Would recommend to a friend!

Upgraded to Bungalow for extra $20/night. Very comfortable room, though view was not much. Layout of property is great - not ... nearly as much walking from elevators to anywhere as in most large casino-resorts.

The worst hotel service ever!

Philip Nov 18, 2009

Checking-in at this hotel was my worst experience ever! They assigned a room to me where I specifically requested 2 queen ... beds after waiting in a long line forever. After checking, I went to check the room before I head down to the parking lot to get my family with our 2 infants. When I got to the room...somebody is still there...so I headed back to the lobby to report the situation (If you've been in MGM, the building is huge...walking back and forth was the last thing I want to do after my 8 hr drive with 2 infants). The frontdesk changed it to a different room.I headed upstairs again to check the room...when I got there it was a 1 king size bed. I was frustrated I called the front desk again and the person I spoke with told me they will change to the room next door and told me to wait there, somebody will be there shortly. I waited forever and nobody came. I called them again to find out if somebody will go there...but the person I spoke with was using the alibi that they have more than 500 rooms and that they can't just send somebody there right away I replied..."I dont care if you have thousands of rooms in this hotel, if the person I spoke with earlier told me that I have to wait forever here I would have decided to just go downstairs to pick up the new keys." So I went downstairs again for the third time and retrieved the new keys. I couldn't find any frontdesk so I decided to approach the manager who was chatting with his maybe new friends (where they all seem to be laughing and enjoying the day) in the lobby. He told me "You have to wait for me to finish with them" then he turned his back---so unprofessional!

--Josh Bloom, Palm $pring$ Nov 18, 2009

Dining tip, Long Walk

Steer clear of the "Grand Buffet", it is nowhere near worth the ridiculous price. You can dine at the Studio Cafe for half the price, which is still pretty outrageous. Better yet: Stay someplace else!

--Rick, Guerneville, California Nov 16, 2009

Entertainment tip, Short Walk

Blue Man Group worth every penny

--Sassy, Texas Nov 15, 2009

Dining tip, In Hotel

The very small deli near the back of the hotel is open either all nite or very late into the nite so if you want a yougurt or bagel or a bowl of excellent soup or a sandwich or salad to take up to your room or eat there it's great.....just s little something to hold you over or make it your dinner. The prices are reasonable too for Las Vegas.

Money savers tip, Short Drive

Tip - If staying at the MGM, its cheaper to get a cab to/from airport then it is to pay a prepaid price for a shuttle. It's located very close to the airport.

--Joe, Jobstown, NJ Nov 13, 2009

The Monorial is a good value compared to cabs, but, there are only half a dozen or so stops and many stops still require long walk to your chosen destination.
