Very Comfortable

The personnel at the hotel were all great. Only one complaint...........first room they gave us was like a cracker box. My wife was sick when we got there so we stayed one nite.......asked for a different room and were gratefully accommodated. Am thinking the lady who waited on us was very, very new or she would not have put us in that kind of room for 5 nites.

Jack Hammer "Noisy"

My experience at the MGM was average at best. As soon as you walk into the hotel you can see that there is renovation construction going on and MGM is letting you know by having a display of the new rooms (average room display, not the suites). The staff at check in however, did not say anything about the renovation or make any reference to the fact. We checked in went to our room and it was average, no real frills or wow factor, but on our second day or night there was a problem with jack hammer or drilling noise three floors above our room. We called the front desk and I spoke with three different staff members and no one had anything good to say about the noise and after two phone calls because we were hung up on, we were able to speak with there "construction management employee?" and apologized for the inconvience. They offered to relocate us from our strip view room to the other side of the MGM hotel and we agreed, the new room was sufficient not as great a view as the other room, but at least we did not have to hear that horrible construction noise and they gave us a free brunch making it tolerable. Next time we choose a grand hotel on the Las Vegas strip it might be advantagous to ask if there is any major construction going on because it was not advertised online when I made the reservation. I probably would have choosen another hotel not the MGM. Also, pay a little extra and go for the suite and spend more than one or two days you get treated by staff a lot better. The Grand Buffett was average at best, we had gone to Hooter for the free steak dinner and and free $200 dollar slot play.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Go for the Grand Canyon bus ride it was "Great!" Not real good on the fanny if you know what I mean. Beside the 8 hour bus ride to and from the Grand Canyon, I enjoyed seeing one of the wonders of the world.

MGM Grand

The Hotel and Casino are fabulous; however the webpage is deceptive as they stated that rooms had an in mirror TV in the bathrooms and they don't really mention the 20 dollar resort fee , which is for wifi etc. the whole industry has gone to the 'resort' fee as a way to tack on 15-25 dollars to everyone's room. But overall MGM has some good restaurants, awesome sports book and a very nice Casino with elegant, retro rooms.

Average Getaway

I was hoping for a mind blowing experience...unfortunately the in room service was not great. Due to renovations in different sections of the hotel there was no water supply til late evening in the wash room when we called up the reception we were informed the whole of the floor (23rd) was affected due to renovations. At least the check in staff could have informed us of the lack of facility...the wash basin was getting clogged every few mins..over all a below avg or at the most an avg exp

Not as good as it was a few year back...

The service staff is mostly friendly (except in the poker room where I felt like I was being treated as an annoyance.) The new rooms, while stylish, are not very comfortable and there are clear signs of corner-cutting on the amenities. I had to ask for the bedspread to be switched. It was clean enough, but worn and should have been tossed a few months ago. I doubt I'll be be staying or playing there again.

Room was a little bit old although they are currently being renovated. I just didn't expect a 1990s tube tv in my room. Resort fees are all the rage now and I still find them ridiculous as you are forced to pay them and all they offer is some free internet which a motel 6 would give you for free.
