customer

I felt I received an ok welcoming once the stuff realized my booking was from . For example, I was to be notified from my phone once my room was ready after 3pm. I'd never received the call, I'd to go to the desk to find out myself, I could have wandering around in the casino for a while. There was a long line at the reception desk, it started with about six people working at the desk, all of a sudden 4 people broke for lunch , leaving with 2 people working at the height of the hour. My room was really far away from the elevator, etc. There was only one good thing on this stay, the lady concierge Sofi was very warm and helpful. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome. I'd stayed at the many times in the year past (over 13 years). was always my first choice. MGM customer service has really changed.

Five Day Getaway

MGM was amazing, it is at the end of the strip, but honestly the walk to most places is not daunting at all. Places like Circus Circus, Stratosphere and Riviera are on the opposite end, and even as a guy wouldn't feel totally safe out by that side of the strip after the Wynn hotel. The room was clean, I'm glad I paid for the Grand Tower, huge room and plenty of space to move around and relax. Kinda wish I didn't have to pay 25 bucks a night plus tax for the "Resort Fee" just for "free" wifi and a newspaper which I never got, but there's a fee at all the hotels, so no getting around it. Highly recommended hotel, bit pricey but there is value to be had if you book correctly.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Right next door and a block or two down is a shop to pick up cheap water, food, souvenirs, and a Walgreens a bit further down. Buy what you need there once you get there and you would be set for the rest of the trip.

vacation

The overwhelming smell of smoke was to much... when i went into other casino/hotel it was not as bad as mgm. The buffet needs a upgrade and cleaning. I was sitting at a 2 seat table against a 3-4 foot wall and there were food stains on the painted railing.. you need to keep it clean. also my shampoo / conditioners were not replaced.. I would have to catch a cleaner in the hall and ask... one nite I waited over a half hour for a attendant to notice my help lite on my slot machine..
