Small room. Not a best location on the Las Vegas strip.

It is a good hotel but can not consider as 4 star. Inconvenient location on the strip. Good casinos and destinations are far from here. Rooms are not big enough.

Getaway for marriage

We had a great experience at MGM Grand Casino Hotel. We got there late because of the plane being late, and there was a line at the check-in desk, but even late at night like that they had plenty of people working and we didn't stand in line for very long. Seems thats all we were doing at other places. The only gripe I would have is they gave us a free Buffet each day we stayed there and the dinner Buffet was more expensive than the credit they gave us. So we ended up paying a little bit for the Buffets. Also my new Wife didn't like the bed. Couldn't sleep very well because it was very uncomfortable for her. And I didn't like the comfort of the pillows. But I would probably stay there again. We weren't in the room very long each day as this was LAS VEGAS!

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

We stayed in the West Wing, and there is a little store right out one of the doors on the first floor that sells things a lot cheaper than the MGM. Snacks, Beer, Water. It helps with saving money. Its just a souvenir shop but they have things that a convenience store has also. Also my new wife got her coffee from the Subway shop in this store instead of the Starbucks in the MGM. That alone probably saved us $100.00. lol

Much needed winter getaway!

This was our 4th visit to Las Vegas. Stayed at the MGM for 4 days and 5 nights. Perfect location on the strip and a nice place to stay. Had the (2) free buffets per day bonus with the purchase, this was a great help with the cost of the trip. Stayed in the west wing, rooms were nice and the perfect size for two. Was a long walk to and from the west wing, but the exercise helped. We did have trouble with the TV loosing signal, but after (3) calls and two hours, finally got the on call repair man to stop by and reboot the system. Nice workout room with treadmills, bikes and ellipticals. Friday and Saturday nights are busy, be prepared for the crowds. Valet was great !! Will be staying at the MGM again next year.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

Try to avoid check in/out between 4-7 pm on Friday or Saturday nights due to the long lines (which moved at a great pace), the monorail is only good from the MGM and convention center, a lot of walking using the other stops. And rent a car which is worth every penny. Plenty to see and do off the strip additionally. You will have the freedom to move around on and off the strip and not be waiting for the busses or shuttles

Nasty service and smelly

The moment we arrived for check in we were greated with rude unfriendly service. No smile no explaining about the hotel. The room was small, dirty, way far from the lobby and the restroom was not good. The resort fee does not do justice for what u get. $25 a day to use the spa, gym and newspaper ? Do not reserve at this hotel! Bad service n unclean.

Disappionted traveler

We got in late because of flight problems. They said there were no more King non - smoking rooms. Claimed to upgraded us to a newly renovated double queen room, which did not seem to be newly renovated. Room was warm and AC settings showed to be at 65 deg. They sent maintenance to repair AC at 11:45 pm. Also TV did not work, they sent another maintenance person to reset digital TV.

Weekend getaway

Went there for a quick weekend getaway. I personally like the room we stayed at but didn't liked the fact that we didn't had a view in the room where you looked at your window and you only see wall. I always have a good time going to Las Vegas so if I compare it to other trips to Vegas, there's no comparison, I guess it would only mean the hotels I stayed at would be the comparison and MGM hotel had been good to me.
