The Luxor might not be the oldest hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, but built in the shape of an Egyptian-style pyramid with a fully-intact stone Sphinx out front, it has a character all its own -as well as being the sixth-largest hotel in the world. Renovated in 2008, Luxor Hotel Las Vegas hosts world-class performers like magician Criss Angel, and features a sky bridge jam-packed with upscale boutiques. Dream of ancient civilizations as you float past pillars in the hotel's oasis-like pools, before hitting the dance floor at the LAX Nightclub. Don't want to miss the game while you're working your way through the drinks menu? The Playbar lets guests keep updated with the latest plays and scores while they sip.

Amazing place to be

The art features were beautiful, and the excitement with the media. Criss Angel along with Paris Hilton to celebrate her younger sister's 21st birthday. The tram across to Mandalay Bay was a breeze.

First time in Las Vegas: Awe-inspiring and will be repeated

The Luxor could not be more accommodating, and the staff absolutely perfect. The service was exceptional and they couldn't do enough for us. My husband cannot walk very far and we were able to rent a scooter and we went everywhere. The options that were available to us were unlimited. I would definitely stay here again and again. The only thing that was missing was a coffee maker in the room, but coffee was available just down the hall from our room. So that worked out, too.

Luxor

Our room at the Luxor was very comfortable and clean. Stay was friendly and extremely helpful. I like the fact that the hotel was smaller than most and easy to get around. The Carrot Top show was great! Flight with Northwest was fairly uneventful, some delays due to weather. Would fly with them again.

Fantastic staff, location, price, food!!

Our first visit to Vegas, and the Luxor was perfect. We were in town for a wedding, so the variety of restaurants on location fit all guests. The availability of mass transit made getting around an unknown town and back to the hotel easy. I would suggest THE LUXOR to any traveling person or group.

great 2 day getaway

We had an excellent experience at the Luxor Hotel. The hotel itself was very nice. Our room was upgraded to a suite when we checked in! It was a beautiful room with 2 flatscreen tvs, a jacuzzi,a very , very comfortable king sized bed and great views from the floor to ceiling windows. The staff was exceptionally nice, from the front desk to the servers in the restaurants. And by the way, the restaurants were excellent. We ate breakfast at the Pyramid. The food was delicious and plentiful! We would stay here again!

Classic Las Vegas experience

Your first look at the Luxor's facade puts you immediately in a different world. The pyramid is towering, the sphinx is not only enormous, but his nose is intact, everything is shiny and new and over the top. AND, you can stand under the pyramid and see not only the Statue of Liberty, but also the Eiffel Tower. This is the mythic Las Vegas (if a myth can be only 30 years old....) The room was spacious, supremely functional and very comfortable, the staff gracious and helpful, and they make the best martini I have ever tasted. The only shortcoming is that the Luxor is at the far end of the strip and you have to negotiate a decent stretch of on-going construction to get to the Bellagio, Paris, and the other major casinos.
