Carlos Nov 19, 2009
I was not happy with hotel at all. We stayed on the 18th floor, very noisy. We checked in on Fri, housekeeping didn't come ... to room until Sun night. Other rooms up and down the hall had put their laundry and trash outside of door in hopes that it would get picked up. The pyramid was neat, and the inclinators were neat, but I wont be staying there again.

2981ljh Nov 18, 2009
Well, I was charged 10 dollars for checking in 30 minutes early. They added another 10 doller for each day for nothing I ... used (water, news paper, and access to the gym. I told them I did not want any of those services. They did not make any adjustments. The rooms were noisy and I did not get a good night I could here every time the guy went to the bathroom and it was often though out the night. The elevators have much to be desired. They rattled and you need to hold on to the sides or rick falling down. The doors even shook. I will never stay there again. I have been to Vegas many times and this was the worst hotel I have stayed at.

We had a spa room with a sitting room. There were problems with the t.v. and there was mildew in the bathroom on the walls. I would never again book a room in this hotel.

M&M Nov 17, 2009
For the experience of staying on the strip, it was good. The location is excellent. I think the hotel nickle dimes you. NO ... FREE INTERNET ACCESS are you kidding, even cheap motels offer that. The room service was a complete rip off. We traveled with our in-laws and my mother in law could not come to dinner with us. She ordered a pot of coffee, corn flakes, sliced banana and two bottles of water - $50...if you're going to charge fifty bucks for some cornflakes, how about giving the customer more than HALF a cup of cereal. That was ridiculous. The cornflakes were more expensive than if she had come to the buffet at the Bellagio with us. THIS was SHAMEFUL. The food in general on the property is overpriced, so we went to Denny's for a quarter of the price. I suggest if you want to keep people in the hotel...make at least breakfast a reasonable bargain. Our room was also not set up properly we had to call and ask for a garbage can. We had no plastic bags in our room for laundry. There were only six hangers in the 'closet' It would have been nice to have a real closet. Although I don't know how old the hotel is, I would guess it was built in the 80's it has that DATED feel to it. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were awful. We didn't get a good nights rest during our stay.

Pyramid Pleasure for a great price!
Canadian Friend Nov 17, 2009
I have wanted to stay at the Luxor for a long time because I was intrigued by the theme and the awesome structure itself. ... Our room was fantastic, even though we didn't even have time to use the whirlpool in our room! We were having so much fun that we didn't get much sleep, but the room was cozy and quiet and the decor was fun. The pool area looked fantastic, but it was too chilly to get in the water. We were looking for pedicures, but the spa didn't advertise that this was an available service, so our toes stayed unremarkable. Since my travel buddy is a travel agent from Canada, she wanted to explore all forms of transportation. It is a bit tricky getting to the monorail from the Luxor and requires quite a bit of walking - too much for the faint of feet, I think. However, getting to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur was a quick and easy walk. We enjoyed the cafe in the Luxor and did all of our gaming right there, so we could get back up to our room easily. The ride on the inclinator is exciting, knowing you are not going straight up. However, our room was in the opposite corner from the inclinator, so we had a looooong walk to get there. I would recommend asking for a room relatively close to the inclinator. Overall, the Luxor is a great place to stay!
