Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition is now at Luxor! As visitors move through expanded Exhibition galleries, they will experience this important historical event, disaster and passenger stories in chronological order: from the construction yards, to her maiden voyage, the fated sinking, to modern day recovery efforts. Each guest will become a passenger and feel the excitement of that April day as they step into authentically re-created first and third class cabins, stroll through the Promenade Deck and stop for a breathtaking glance at the social hub of Titanic -- the Grand Staircase. They will then feel the temperature drop, learn details of the sinking, touch an iceberg and understand the theories of this tragic tale. Newly designed for Luxor, this blockbuster exhibition brings to life the story of the ill-fated ship through its authentic artifacts, dramatic room recreations and hands-on interactive experiences.

*** Guests must be 18 or older to check into this property.

A Resort Fee of $12.95 plus tax (per room, per night) will be collected at the front desk. Resort Fee includes in-room Internet access, daily newspaper delivery and daily bottled water delivery (two bottles daily), daily admission to Nurture Fitness Center (this does not include the use of spa facilities such as whirlpool, sauna, etc.), and unlimited local, toll free and domestic long distance phone calls. The Resort Fee will be applied to the individual guest room folio.

LAX nightclub is a great choice for dancing-open on Wed,Fri & Sat- free admission for hotel guests!

--Ally, New York, NY Dec 12, 2009

Entertainment tip

There are several small shops on the strip that sell discount tickets to many of the shows at discount prices. Use them and avoid the show reservations at the hotel to save $$.

--Tomcat, knowledgeman[@] Dec 11, 2009

Dining tip, Short Drive

Watch out for drink prices in the hotel - I paid $12 for a fairly small margarita. I would recommend getting off the strip and out of the casinos for better dining options. I recommend Steiner's Pub that is a little farther south on the strip - definitely need a car, but it's worth the drive!!

Luxor redux

Tomcat Dec 11, 2009

First, I liked the location of the hotel on the strip. However, internet access is $1 a minute in the business center which ... sucks. You have better odds and payback on the slots. In spite of prepaying for room, there is a $100 per day deposit charged to your bank or credit card which has still not been cleared by them even two days after checking out. I had to ask for the $25 food credit that was part of the promotion and then had to request it again when checking out since it still had not been posted to my bill. Unlike other hotels, you can't snap pictures of some of the more impressive statues inside the hotel. A fire alarm went off at 2:18 a.m. and continued inside the room for about 5 minutes while they checked their system. Try going back to sleep after that! The buffet for breakfast and lunch is just ok but dinner buffet is much better. All in all, in spite of the clean, comfortable room, I would not stay there again.

aging vegas...

Would recommend to a friend!

I stayed at the Luxor for a pharmacy convention. We gamboled and went to a show while we were there, and the location was ... fine just because it's very conveniently located on the strip. I thought the parking garage was too far away from the casino/hotel, and it was very cold walking in & out from the garage. I wasn't very impressed with the concierge or check in service at all. I also dislike the resort fees they charge. The rooms are fun - we stayed in the pyramid so it has atmosphere, but the hotel itself is aging and you can definitely tell.

We had a cheap room; location was so-so.

Old Coot Nov 30, 2009

We simply slept at Luxor. Room was on a cheap plan so location was bad; no view. Heating system was disfunctional; engineer ... responded aftre three calls -- did not fix problem. We were very cold on second night of two.

Nightlife tip, In Hotel

--am, salt lake city, UT Dec 10, 2009

Time savers tip

Rent a car. You will waist too much time waiting on the bus or walking. The taxi service are way too pricy to use.

--Leroy the traveler!, Norman, Ok Dec 10, 2009

Time savers tip

Wear comfortable shoes everything looks closer than it really is. If I were to do it again I would try to stay at a hotel in the middle of the strip to avoid back tracking.

--Warm Weather Vacationer, Vancouver WA Dec 9, 2009

Dining tip, In Hotel

Food Court. It's kinda hidden but it's great place to find a snack to hold you over until dinner etc.

Alot of the popular shows are in close proximity but not as available on sunday evenings.

--pooch, sugarland,texas Nov 30, 2009

Entertainment tip, In Hotel

I may be a freak but the best part of Vegas for me is always the spa--kind of the antithesis of the nightlife everyone goes for. Anyhow, Luxor's spa is terrific. You can also snatch some bottled water and fruit for in-room snacks while you are there.

--Fun on a Budget, Pasadena, CA Nov 30, 2009

Dining tip, Short Drive

WOW - Laurys Steak House is fab!! The best prime rid ever.....

--Heather, U.K Nov 30, 2009

Shopping tip, Short Drive

There is many stores to get shopping done for the holydays, as they have the outles lest than 3 miles away. also at the hotel is many of them too.

--love Vegas, Los Angeles, Ca Nov 29, 2009

Caesars Palace shops and the Fashion Mall were cool. Lots of nice clothing.

--Paul, Saratoga Springs, NY Nov 28, 2009

Food at the Paris Hotel buffet was excellent.

--L, Fl Nov 28, 2009

Entertainment tip

get a travel book like frommers and do a little homework before traveling. you will never have a bad experience or meal ever again. then check the internet and use "coupon" with your search to obtain discounts. restaurant.com is great for any location.

--kathy, denver, colo Nov 28, 2009

Nightlife tip, Short Walk

You have got to see Zumanity by Cirque du Soleil at New York-New York. Its 2 hotels away and is probably the hottest show on the strip. Get seats right up front for crowd participation, you won't be disappointed.

Sorry, we cannot perform that search at this time. Either the pick-up or drop-off location needs to be an airport.
