Service

Waited over an hour to get checked in. Got a room and the a/c unit was only heating and it would not stop. I waled into the room over 100 degrees. I called down to get it fixed or get a new room. The operator tried again and again to transfer me to guest services where knowone answered the phone. I told the operator to get me a person. She told me they would call me as soon as I hung up. Never happened. Sat in the room sweating my behind off for thirty minutes then I went back to registration, complained and the desk person basically called me a liar when I told her knowone answered the phone. I used to love staying at the Luxor but it's time to move on..

Not a good experience

Check in went smoothly; got to room and it was freezing cold with air up on high. Turned air off and returned in an hour to a stench of rotten food. Obviously the air was turned up to cover smells left by previous inhabitants. Moved to another room only to have the bath water back up into the shower upon draining. Black filthy water bubbling up into shower drain..nasty!

Difficult Overnight stay

The major unacceptable problem was that it took about 1.5 hrs standing in line at 11 PM to check in. Expanation was that it was caused by bad weather and air line delays. I still do not understand the cause and affect. We were upgaded to a suite with hot tub and second TV/hangout room, which was nice.. The hotel is beginning to see the wear and tear of the years since we first stayed there when it first opened some 20+ years ago.

Staying at the Luxor

We intended to stay for 3 nights and got a great mid-week rate at the Luxor. When we found out our flight was cancelled after check-out we hoped to be accommodated by receiving a discount instead of paying full weekend rates because of our extenuating circumstances. Unfortunately they would not give us a deal, but we weren't expecting it, only hoping. Overall, it was a clean hotel and had the best prices on the Strip, while still having easy access using the RTC.

Average hotel for the price!

Third time staying at the Luxor and not as pleased as in the past. The hotel is losing its luster along with customers/gamblers. Other hotels/casinos were decorated for the holidays and packed with people while the Luxor stood bla and empty. The value isn't there either, Resort Fees? For what? No pool in the winter!

Great Deal!

We had never stayed at the Luxor before; so when we got an offer for $25 a night, we decided to go for it. The hotel was beautiful and had interesting configuration although it was at one end of the strip and away from the center. We did discover a bus that goes up and down the strip and to downtown for those who want to preserve their legs! We saw a show at the hotel (Menopause) and did some gambling. We did not eat at any other their restaurants. We don't know why the hotel charged each person $18 additional hotel fees after 12% taxes were charged.
