Let's be straight: If this pyramid-shaped resort was just a gimmick, it wouldn't have lasted. And recent updates have definitely put the Luxor back on the map. Nice Stay
Initially I had few problems like Heater was not working and TV was not turning on. One Staff member said internet is free and other said its not, which confused me. But, the staff responded quickly in fixing all these problems. Overall a good stay.

Difficult Overnight stay
The major unacceptable problem was that it took about 1.5 hrs standing in line at 11 PM to check in. Expanation was that it was caused by bad weather and air line delays. I still do not understand the cause and affect. We were upgaded to a suite with hot tub and second TV/hangout room, which was nice.. The hotel is beginning to see the wear and tear of the years since we first stayed there when it first opened some 20+ years ago.

The Carnegie Deli ion the mirage is pretty terrible.Rye bread is crumbly and makes a bad sandwich.

great hotel but everyone that should have, didn't tell me that places at the hotel were going to be closed for the holidays........, One reason wanted to stay at the luxor is to eat at Rice&company (sushi) but it was closed for the holidays, so I tried going to T&T (taco's & tequila) in the hotels own calendar it said T&T would have maraichi brunch on sat 22nd, nope the place was closed too, the TENDER steak&seafood was great food & drink,. poker tournament was good, bars were empty. asked for privacy in my room but the sign on the door must have fallen down because someone still went into my room to clean. its the little things folks , not asking for anything more then you advertise...............

Hopping off point for south west road trip
Overall very pleased with hotel. Room was large, clean, and comfortable. Nice big flat screen tv. Only minor nitpick is pillows were a little uncomfortable (too high). Good location on the strip.

Staying at the Luxor
We intended to stay for 3 nights and got a great mid-week rate at the Luxor. When we found out our flight was cancelled after check-out we hoped to be accommodated by receiving a discount instead of paying full weekend rates because of our extenuating circumstances. Unfortunately they would not give us a deal, but we weren't expecting it, only hoping. Overall, it was a clean hotel and had the best prices on the Strip, while still having easy access using the RTC.

A joke. Could not watch tv or change channels from the bed. Mold over the shower on the top. No phone books. Will never stay at the Luxor again. Could care less about the promotions

NO SERVICE WHATSOEVER
The rooms are nice and comfortable. But when I asked room service for a water boiler, they said they don't have any, but they can send me a bottle of water, which costs 5 dollars and won't be here for 45 minutes....
