3rd time was not a charm
Unfortunately, it was a horrible experience. The first room assigned to us, we were able to access with our key...the room was occupied. Beds unmade, shoes on the bed, TV on. Second try, nicer room...but way off past the convention center area (a good hike), glitter all over the pillows and floor. Third room, upgraded to a "suite" with a jacuzzi with a nice little sign on it that said "sorry for the inconvenience", didn't work. Drapes broken and wouldn't close. Holes in the sheets, dirty shower. Awful experience. Disappointed.

somewhat good getaway
Hotel clerk was rude, hotel staff were harassing trying to sell tickets for a tour of the hotel. Concierge was not helpful when trying to find nightlife. Amenities were limited, pool was not open so we had to go to excalibur. Room service was an hour when we tried to order food. Other than that we had a decent time. At the luxor, the experience came from the beauty of the hotel itself, not from the service. I'm glad I got such a discount because if I had paid full price and got the same service I would have been more irritated.

When trying to find good night life, ask the staff, not concierge. I asked two girls who got off work and they have me a great list of places to go, I'm glad I asked.

The Luxor was a very decent hotel and our stay there was pleasant. I've traveled quite a lot in my life and thought the entire experience there was very good. Great for the price!

Blah, Blah, Blah.
I read about renovations in Hotel description but didn't actually see any. Not 4 star as compared to others I've stayed. I was in room 2031. Cleaning noises about midnight, below us. Then at 4 am, sounded as if someone was moving furniture, dropping rocks on floor above us. I actually would of liked sleep while there. Not possible in that room. I was told of resort fee of $90. Was charged $110. This hotel needs some sprucing up. Hall carpets & wallpaper are worn, dirty, torn, scraped, need vaccumed. Small room frig & coffee maker would be nice. I don't like Starbucks!

Check for a hotel that doesn't charge a resort fee. Its like paying fee and getting nothing in return. They get enough from you with your casino losses. Las Vegas not really good place for children vacation.

Terrific Stay
Been to Las Vegas numerous times since we are from Los Angeles. First time at the Luxor since they had such a great deal. Our stay was way above expectations. Our room was in the East Building - definitely recommend it (not sure about rooms in other sections of the hotel). Room was very comfortable, clean, spacious and in good shape overall. Casino was fun - a definite 4 star
