Inside the infamous Pyramid, discover fantasy, fun and luxury
Let's be straight: If this pyramid-shaped resort was just a gimmick, it wouldn't have lasted. And recent updates have definitely put the Luxor back on the map. Entertainment takes the spotlight, including edgy magician Criss Angel, primo prop comic Carrot Top, the sexy Fantasy showgirls, Menopause the Musical and two great exhibitions, Titanic and Bodies. The hot nightclubs LAX and CatHouse are here too, alongside several casino floor lounges, fantastic restaurants and a big pool deck.

Memorable last min get away
Very nice clean and pleasant stay at this beautiful picturesque location. Very helpful staff and the rooms were big and very well decorated. This was definitely one of the better hotels to stay in on the strip. I'd highly recommend! You won't arrive disappointed. We had the breakfast buffet at the hotel, which had a lot of choice of food and there was never queue.

Nice hotel with minor annoyances
The hotel was clean and well maintined, at least in the tower. There were resort fees of $15 per day and you do not get a room safe or wifi for that. Safety deposit are available, but the line can be an hour long on a Monday morning. We did get free show tickets when we signed that were pretty bad seats. The biggest annoyance was the fact that we were solicited to visit their time share everytime we entered the hotel or walked through the casino. Sometimes it was three times just by walking through the hotel to the buffet. Some of them were pretty pushy.

Luxor Hotel
Room was nice, staff was helpful, beds/pillows were very comfortable. Missing a few amentites - WIFI being the biggest let down. I also was disapointed in the hidden fees - $16.00 a night.

In Hotel
$20 tip trick. place a $20 dollar bill between your i.d and credit card when you check in. Then ask if there are any upgrade options/show tickets/etc. It doesn't always work, but I have always got my money back.

The hotel is older, spread out, and a little difficult to use. The room had no coffee maker so you have to go downsrtairs and pay $4.00 at Starbucks or order a pot from room service at $20.00. The staff were all very helpful and courteous. The Titanic exhibition was worth the $35.00 admission.

Fun getaway for my son's 21st birthday!
Really cool to have a room with a window that slants with the outside shape of the pyramid. Did a good job with the Egyptian theme. Rooms were comfortable but wished we had a frig to keep snacks in. Even though the main floor was a perfect square and there were many signs, I would get turned around and often lost. ha. Good tram system from nearby hotels for getting around.

Chinese New Year getaway
The hotel is a bit far from the nucleus of the Las Vegas Blvd. The look of the hotel is unique, but the interior feels old. The staffs seemed lifeless........they looked like they really hate this job! We put up the "No Disturb" sign, but the room maid still come in anyway.

great value getaway
I found the Luxor to be a great value for a stay in Las Vegas. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to my friends.

Luxor can do better.
Let's start with the staff; bell hop and valet, which were very nice, helpful and friendly. The buffet cashier had us laughing and the waiter, at the Pyramid Cafe even made us a shake, though it wasn't on the menu. Thank you all for providing us with great service. Where the hotel loses its higher scoring was in the amenities it should offer, like wi-fi, which we were able to get at our hotel in Bryce Canyon. Every hotel now offers it, get with the times, Luxor. Also, the shower drain was not working which seemed like we were bathing in the Nile. I understand we need to experience Egypt, but please... Our room was in the pyramid, 19th floor and though that may sound cool, getting to our room was not. The hotel really needs to invest in updating their elevators. They were shacky, shoddy, and just plain scary.
