Good Conference Getaway

We were at the Hilton for a conference. It is the perfect location for a conference, but not ideal for being close to the strip althought the monorail is handy for getting to the strip.

Not recommended

Checked in w/ incorrect room - doubles instead of king bed. TV's are rediculously loud when you turn them on each time and the walls are thin that you can always hear other people's television so if they are up late or early you are screwed. Biggest problem is I wouldn't recommend the place for non-smokers. Floors are non-smoking but ash trays are provided near elevators so people are always smoking in the halls. The room next door to us were smoking and we could smell it the whole time and when we put in a complaint the front desk said it was OK for them to smoke - I think she was blowing us smoke w/ that statement. No coffee or conditioners in the room either.

Great experience!

The room was absolutly beautiful. We stayed in a standard room and it was WELL worth the money. GREAT value! If going on a romantic trip, I highly reccomend ordering a flower boquet/rose petals from room service and possibly upgrading rooms simply to get higher up (we were on the 3rd floor) for a better view f the strip. I was able to get petals spread over the bed with a single long stem rose for less than $40.00. The only catch is they don't assign you a room prior to check in and they don't build boquets on site. This means for best results, you have to order before you get there. I was, however, able to sneak away (as we were out for supper) and place the order. They claim they need 2 hours to complete the delivery but I was out till the early morning hours anyway so they had plenty of time to ge it done for me.

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

The Hilton is right on the monorail route so for $5.00 a person, you can get a ride all the way down to the MGM. From there, it's a short walk to the Luxor/Mandalay Bay area. From there, of course, you can walk the entire strip ending up at the Hilton (one block off the strip behind the Sahara hotel/casino). It took us about 3 hours to make the walk but we made several stops.

Great for a quick trip

The Las Vegas Hilton was a very nice and affordable hotel. Although it is a good distance from the main strip. The monorail service is very handy. The rooms were large and clean. Great tv's and climate control. I would return here again.

Good value for your vacation dollar

The Hilton is a very nice hotel/casino. I have been going there for years, but this is the first time that I actually stayed there. The room was large and clean. The only bad thing was that it didnt have a coffee maker.

Great for sports betting

The Hilton is an older Hilton. Staff is very friendly and the sports booking area can't be beaten. Rooms have been redesigned nicely. Walls are thin so noise from adjoining rooms is likely. Food was okay. Not a lot of variety.
