Super place to stay - off the strip but yet very convenient access to all the shows (Jersey Boys, Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, etc. etc.), shopping, casinos, great dining and people watching. Great pool area and casual dining. Housekeeping did a very good job every day.

The staff was friendly and the casino was fun! This isn't your everyday hustle and bustle hotel, it has action but is quiet all at the same time.

Two restaurants we went to: The Pepper Mill which is right next to the riviera on the strip is awesome and prices are reasonable. Then, a little drive away, in town there is the Blue Ox. They serve the best burgers hands down. Friendly staff in both places!

Run down hotel
Orbitz reservation never showed. SO - upon checkin they had no reservation for me - had to wait 40 min and speak to 3 different people. Small room, small pool, leaky celing - grafitti on bathroom stalls, etc.

Vegas Baby
For a non-smoking room, there is a heavy smell of cigarette. Maybe that's Vegas for you. For the price, this was a great deal. Hotel is one of the older ones but it is still nice. Some things were updated such as 42in LCD. Hilton charges for wifi so be aware. Many other hotels don't...such as The Orleans.

Ask the bellhop about the best places to go. For example, the best all-u-can-eat buffet is at Planet Hollywood Resort and Mandalay Bay.

mediocrity at it's best.
i usually stay at a different hotel and thought it would be nice for a change of pace to try the hilton. big mistake! the bathtub constantly dripped, the carpets were stained and dirty and had not been vaccumed for what looked like a year. the only amenity that i can say was that i could catch the monorail from inside the hotel but even then it was difficult to get from point a to point b. the staff were nice and cordial though. to sum it up everybody always says that the room is not so important in vegas because you don't spend much time there, well unfortunately that was true but only because of choice.
