I would stay at LVH again

The hotel is very nice, quick check -in and express check out. The ONLY thing I was not aware of is that there was no coffee in the room! :( Driving in the hotel is a bit challenging following all the signs, but we made it!

Nice but needs attention

The room was nice, but certain lights didn't work and we told a cleaning person and she said she would contact maintenance, but they never appeared. There was a large picture missing from the room and the brackets were left in the wall. Temps in the convention area were cold and the rest of the hotel/casino were warm. It was nice to have the monorail so close especially since the "Strip" was a distance away. Too hot to walk that distance. Restaurants were higher priced, but had to use them as there was nothing else that was close enough. It all depends on if a person wants to stay on the strip where the action is or to be in a quiet area.

average for Las vegas

Morning of my check out, an in house group was waiting for the buffet line to open.(700AM) I didn't see getting 'in and out' in an hour possible. Next time I'll stay on the strip where I can walk to the another property when lines or long and time is short. Room was near elevator shaft.(#2456) Noisy. I had a great view; however, the curtain was broken and I couldn't open. Bathroom vent fan was broken. No non slip strips in bath tub. I thought the hotel gouged on water. On leaving I had a voucher with Greyline tour.(purchased from Orbiz)The driver seemed annoyed I had not used the first half of voucher when I arrived in Las Vegas.(friends picked me up) I only used the voucher on the trip to the airport upon leaving. Driver said "I DID"T FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS". Further, he commented:" IT WAS A PAIN IN THE BUTT". Otherwise, the ride to airport was timely. However, I will not rely on Greyline for transportation again.

Not bad...

we've been to las vegas many, many times and decided on a far located hotel because of hilton honors member. upon arriving and in line to be checked in for the hilton honors... the regular line ended up being much faster. the room was "non-smoking" room... but it smelled bad!!! the front desk insisted the rooms were all nonsmoking... rooms were old and needed alot of touchups, too dark, the bathroom lighting sometime did not work, but the 4th of july fireworks were great!!!

Vegas Hilton

This hotel was missing the extra to make it a great hotel. It started out bad when we had to wait an hour due to only 2 people at the desk to check everyone in during one of the busiest times of the day. There was not a day that we didn't have to call for something - soap, wash clothes, etc. When we spoke to the manager on duty, he reply was "sorry about that - I will check with the staff." There did not seem to be any concern with our needs.

Great Overall Experience

We stayed at the LVH for vacation, and it was great. One of the best features was the Monorail station attached to the hotel lobby. Very easy to get to The Strip. Hotel is off the main drag, so it wasn't too noisy or crowded. Great food and reasonable prices at The Buffet.

Get the $28 three-day pass for the Monorail. It's definitely worth the money. A cab ride from the LVH to the Bellagio cost us $25 because we sat in traffic half the time.

Non-smoking policy NOT enforced

My husband and I stayed in Vegas 3 nights during our recent trip around California and Nevada. This was my third visit to Vegas and the Hilton was by far the most disappointing place of the hotels I have stayed in (and not the cheapest!). The rooms were fine (rather standard for Vegas), although services like Internet and laundry were overpriced. This is not uncommon in the city, but I previously stayed in the Stratosphere where I paid much less, got similar quality and laundry was free for guests. Importantly, staff was very rude when dealing with our requests. Firstly, we needed the number of a restaurant where we had made dinner reservations, and when we called to ask for the number we just kept being redirected from one department to another until eventually they hung up on us - twice. The second problem was even more alarming. We asked for a non-smoking room, and yet we were woken up by the smell of cigarrette smoke early in the morning. It was as if someone was smoking in our room - clearly the guests next door were breaching the non-smoking policy and all the smoke was coming in through the connecting door. When we called to complain about this, it took ages to get anybody to help us, and when security eventually came we were just told to move to another room. A man came about 15 minutes later and gave us new keys. We had to go through the trouble of changing all our stuff without any help from the hotel, and when we expressed our astonishment at this poor way of handling the issue we were told that we did not have to change rooms, that it was our choice - despite being in a non-smoking room inundated with smoke. I think it was appalling that we had to go through this inconvenience while the guests who were breaching the hotel's policies and disturbing us were not even told to stop smoking (let alone face the supposed 250 USD fine). They should warn guests that their supposed non-smoking policy is non-existent.
