Another great time in Vegas!
The biggest reasons to stay at Harrah's are the location and my favorite place, Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill. Due to the location, we were able to walk to the Flamingo to see Donny and Marie, take the Monorail to Mandalay Bay for dinner at Aureole, take the monorail to the Sahara and then walk to Fremont Street! My husband took the Big Dog Daddy challenge at Harrah's and YES, he did eat the 32 oz. burger! The overhead light just inside our room door was burned out but we just left a lamp on when we were out at night. Also, the safe in our room did not work but we made do. Due to the price of food on the strip, I wish our room would have had a refrigerator. Whenever we have one in our room, we don't use it. When we don't, we wish we did! Murphy's Law. Our room seemed a little noiser than it was the last time I stayed there but I think that was due to the proximity of our room to the pool. We were on the 4th floor and I think some of the early morning noise was from maintenance workers outside. Overall, we will definitely stay there again. The people were friendly, the hotel was clean and is big enough without being too enormous and of course, location, location, location!

1st trip to Vegas
This was our first trip to Vegas, a mother/daughter bonding week. We had two rooms at Harrah's. Both were very nice. The first did not have the TV remote and had to ask for one. Also had very noisy neighbors move into the ajoining room. We asked and received a new room. I chose Harrah's because of the central location on the strip. We found "The Duece" bus to be very convenient and easy to use to get to all the shows we saw. We saw The Blue man group at The Venetian fantastic, Love/Beatles - Cirque de soleil at The Mirage-amazing and Lion King-at Mandalay Bay-wonderful!We used Grand canyon West tour bus to see the grand canyon and Hoover dam. They provide both breakfast and lunch. We bought most of the tickets for the shows at half price Tix just to the north of Harrahs. Our first room had a nice view of the strip and the beautiful mountains. It was also, however, over the carnival court where a live band plays until about 2:30 am every night and is quite loud. Our second room was on a lower floor and farther to the south Oddly enough we could not hear the band from that room.

Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill had the best ribs I have ever had. We went back twice to eat there. Both McDonalds and Denney's is just close by for breakfast. Harrahs also has a buffet breakfast that we didnt get to try. If you go to any place for breakfast go earlier than you think you should as you will be standing in line. We also ate at Ming's Table...very good sushi and chinese food and Penazzi...delicious Italian food

The greatest place in the right spot!
I liked the Harris Hotel because when you came off the elevator you were either by the slots or the resturants, which is a big plus. You did not have to go far to get coffee in the morning or something to eat. Also playing the slots at 3 or 4 am when you can't sleep! The room was clean, bed was very comfortable and there were FOUR pillows on the bed, not three like most hotels with king beds. Since we were on the go all the time we did have lunch and late dinner at Harris and the food was excellent but we were always somewhere else at other times so we did not try the other resturants. All looked very inviting and great menu selections. The cleaning staff were wounderful, frendly and curtious. Always greeted us with a smile. The only down side is that since Vegas is so hot we always like to take water with us while we walk, so it would have been nice to have refrigerator to put in some water. The water/snack vending machine in the room was way too expensive and we are already paying enough to gamble. Don't get me wrong we also like to drink but being diabetic is not always a good thing to be drinking all the wounderful drinks that are offered.

Short walk from hotel
It was a short walk either way to catch a bus to Downtown. They have the old time food specials that you can really get into. However, if you walk into the Harris's they have all their specials listed on bill boards. The 5.99 steak and egg special between 12am and 7am is the greatest. 2pm to 7pm was steak and shrimp and that was terrific too! A very friendly staff and I also enjoyed playing Keno while we ate..They had runners so that you did not have to get up and play.

Will not go back!
Very Rude staff. 2 of our rooms were not cleaned at our 11pm check-in. Housekeeping left 2 rooms open. 1 room never got cleaned during our 3 day stay even after asking twice. Went in a group of 13. All 13 of us were unhappy. 4 of the mini bars were broke in rooms. 2 had old food and opened drinks in them. Staff couldn't understand what was wrong with any of this. Will not return. Hotel was located in a great spot on the strip. Did have a nice outside bar with great entertainment.
