Harrah's Experience

After 5 nights, still had trouble finding our way through the casino to rooms, exits etc. Very aggressive, yet polite time share sellers are in constant attack mode. Had we known about this ahead of time, we wouldn't have been seduced into the three hour (promised as 2 hours) presentation, and would have missed out on the free show and great meal. As long as you have the time and the strength to refuse their pitch, I guess it's not so bad. Harrah's is well positioned about mid-strip, and great value at about $45 per night and no resort fee. Great rooms and service, and friendly, polite staff.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Got a discount Cirque show (VivaElvis) at one of the 10 TIX4 Tonight booths on the strip (get printout from their website for additional $2 discount per ticket) with complimentary upgrade at VivaElvis ticket office from cheapest ticket to most expensive . If there's a long lineup at the TIX4 Tonight booth next to the hotel (Casino Royale) try one of the others. They open at 10:00 and sell for that night's performance.

Great Location

Everything about the hotel is average. Nothing really stands out from the staff, to the rooms, to the decor, it's all average. The best thing about the hotel is the location. Easy walking distance to other hotels and shopping.

Decent

We received an upgrade for one night to one of the top suites. It was very nice. We were told to checkout of that room by 11am and into our real room. 11am comes around room not ready, 12 not ready, 1 not ready, 2 not ready, so at 230pm we get a call saying we need our stuff out of the old room into the new room asap. What a ridiculous waste of time. if the room would have been ready at 11am as promised i wouldnt have had to walk a mile back down the strip from what i was doing to move my luggage from one room to another. Then we were placed in one of the outdated rooms and not one that had received the makeover. Customer service was terrible at that hotel and I would recommend staying someplace else on the srtip.

Don't do it.

Getting to this hotel is a pain if your driving, the entrance is behind the building. Checking in wasw a breeze, elevator very assisable from the front desk. The room was quite small, the housekeeper left her Duster on one of the beds, Table in a very uncomfortable place in the room, safe is to narrow, and not deep enough. The second day the duster was gone, however some dirty laundry was left behind. The management at the buffett left alot to be desired, The server at the buffett was terrible. When I checked out I forgot my wife's make up bag and a perfume. I called back and was told that I had to make a report with security and lost and found, due to the fact that the housekeeper never turned anything in. This is very disturbing giving the reputation thaty this resort claims to have.

Perfect Hotel for Vegas! Spend $ on Strip not on Hotel.

Perfect location and average hotel room. Nothing wrong or fancy just what you would expect from an older hotel on the Vegas Strip. If you're looking for a budget stay then Harrah's is the place.

Only one improvement suggestion

Enjoyed my stay. It was my first experience at Harrah's, Las Vegas. Generally, things were good. Only problem was that the 'Business Center' was closed over the weekend. I needed Internet access, but the Business Center was not open. Not a good policy relative to weekend guests.
