Reunion interrupted by Hotel Robbery

We paid a little extra to have a room facing the Strip so we could watch the fireworks on the 4th. However, we were surprised to find people in our room (they broke in) later that night and they stole all of our cash! Luckily they left the credit cards, ID's, and singles ($1). Come to find out that the door was defective and they upgraded us to an amazing suite. I hope they also discover that they are responsible for the break in.

Trip

The hotel did not meet my expectations at all. The air conditioning did not say on during the night and was on a sensor and the room was warm! The room assigned was next to the elevator shaft and all you heard all night was the elevator non stop. The view that was given was pathetic, I was given a view of a white wall with all kinds of trash on the ground. The pool closed at 7, which was very early and there was never anywhere to sit. The cabanas that you pay for were empty but took up most of the space along the pool side!! For what I paid I would have booked at another hotel or another service like Book It. Very disappointed in this trip that I paid for. Would rather have stayed home and saved the money.

Good......for the price.

Once again, I found myself staying at Harrah's on my late June/early July trip to Las Vegas. The downsides to staying at this hotel? Standing in the check in line took almost an hour. 3:00 pm and they had a total of three people checking us in. Very cheap and very lame. Didn't some of these hotels have a way of checking in at an electronic kiosk? I remember doing that at the Stratosphere and at the old Sahara back in '07! I suppose this is before they needed you to hand them a credit card to deal with these ridiculous resort fees. Downside #2 is that on my last three visits to Harrah's, it seems the bed is actually less comfortable than it used to be. I don't ask much from a hotel room, but the one thing I'd like is to get a good night's sleep. Put some of that resort fee money into investing in pillow top mattresses. There are upsides to staying at Harrah's. First of all, it's almost always one of the least expensive hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Second, it's smack dab in the middle of the strip: right across the street from The Mirage and The Forum Shops, right next door to The Linq, and not a very far walk north to the Venetian. Third, it is a monorail stop, so getting to other hotels like Flamingo, Bally's/Paris, and The MGM is easy and much less expensive than cabs. For these reasons alone, I have to give a rating of three stars, but I'll likely be booking a hotel than hopefully has a decent bed and doesn't make us wait an hour just to check in. Harrah's needs to step up their game a little.

Awesome Hotel for the price

We stayed in the Harrahs when we visited Vegas so a 21st birthday and it was a great hotel. The hotel is in the center of the stripe allowing us to see many things without needing to take taxi or the bus. The only complaint i would have is that after traveling 10 hours from our home to airport and than the 5 hour flight and getting to hotel in Vegas we wanted to just get into our room and relax and since we were an hour early to the hotel they made us wait until it was 4pm to even check in.

Check in Process is Terrible.

I had to wait in line 45 minutes just to check in and get my key. They simply didn't have enough Front Desk Personnel. The lady that did check me in, was very nice and efficient but she said it was always that way. Significantly understaffed.

just tired

Location is great, McDonald's and several other fast food places to eat plus Walgreens right there. Shower pressure was good on 18th floor. Understaffed for check-in, upgraded but not really any better than standard, mattresses were sagging in middle, frig for purchases only, 4 small drawers, toiletries about 1 oz and not good... wish I had paid more and stayed elsewhere..
