Off the strip and a little beat up and worn. Hotel needs a bath and should try to attract a better, visually-appealing audience. You give rooms away for $50 and you get the bottom of the barrel from anytown city.

Winter getaway

I have never stayed at the HRH and I have to say that my wife and I are both absolutely amazed with the hotel. The staff is wonderful and friendly. They handle everything in a very expedient manner. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Good dining and entertainment and shopping on site. We really appreciated that the hotel is for those that are over 18 since we don't have kids. We also appreciated that the HRH is located only 1/4 mile from the Vegas strip and could easy walk to everything we wanted to see.

Be warned this place will give you headaches

Stayed 2 nights, checked in at 3p, had a line, which was to be expected. First thing, they will charge you $50 Deposit per day for incidentals, unlike most resorts in Vegas you have the option of not having it placed on hold on your credit card. This was my first red flag. My second day there is when things went very horrible with the staff. This hotel uses a sensor to monitor items being lifted off of their mini-bar and gift/snack item tray. When I was gone, the mini-bar staff person restocked the mini-bar, When they add, remove restock items in the mini-bar/gift tray it triggered an automatic credit hold on my charge card in the amount of over $250. Needless to say I was very unhappy, called the Front desk agent first asked if I had bought any items - then they looked up and noticed items had been replenished and that I would not be liable for the charge, yet I would have to wait 3-5 days for it to drop. So, that really got me mad, and I asked if any other guest ran into problems like this, obviously, she agreed most of the time it happens , to some guest it may not affect them as much, for those who have a limited and budgeted their trip around what they can afford or use. So the hotel held up a bit over $360 in pending authorization holds. I had to cancel and was not able to finish my last days in Vegas due to their system of charging guest rooms while they restock the mini bar. Therefore I am not returning to this hotel to stay over night. Another point is to not bring children to this resort, as with this system they have in place, you might be charged for items. As sometimes little fingers like to touch and pick up items The room itself was very well, due to the condition of the resort. another drawback was the construction going on.

Comfortable Beds/Rooms

I love the Paradise tower that I was put in. The beds in this hotel are my FAVORITE! I like it better than my own at home which is hard to do. As far as check in and staff they're not the best and don't make accommodations for your needs like early check in. Also I had so many hotel workers coming to my room and bothering me about stupid things like the mini bar that hasn't been used asking for a restock. There really isn't any great places to get a quick inexpensive bite to eat before hitting the strip. The room was clean though and very comfortable as far as space and storage. I would stay here again if need be but not my favorite hotel.

Good time at The Hard Rock

I still like the Hard Rock, although it is not as nice a casino or rooms as some of the other larger hotels. It is pretty good value if you are looking for something on the less expensive side, and its just a short cab ride to the Strip. The Joint is a good concert venue.

Not Good - Will Not Be Back

We visited this hotel with friends and family May 6-8. We stayed here because we were going to the Journey concert (which was fantastic!). Our experience with this hotel and the staff here was not good at all. Here's the good stuff, our room was nice, the bed was comfortable. We decided to go to the pool, we were immediately sent back to our room because we needed our ID to go to the pool. All of the seats around the pool had reserved signs on them, which we thought was interesting. We found one that didn't have a sign on it and went to sit down. Once we got comfortable, someone from the pool staff came and told us we would have to agree to a $150 minimum to use the lounger. It was 4pm and we weren't planning to spend more than an hour there, so we had to pack up and do the walk of shame out of there. Having a sign posted would have really been a lot better and saved us some embarrassment. We ended up having to sit on our towels on the concrete, since no single chairs were available, either. The most frustrating thing about this is that there was another pool which was closed which had plenty of single chairs. The bathroom by the pool was disgusting. There was a terrible smell and it was not clean. We did not have any trouble with our room while we were there, however our friends' room had wet carpet that smelled like vomit when they checked in. In my mom's room, she had to call maintenance both mornings because the water would not turn off in her shower (not good in Las Vegas - with the water shortage!) On the last night, my sister went to her room and the balcony/terrace doors were wide open! Luckily she was on the 10th floor, so no one could get in. When she shut and locked them, they kept blowing open, she ended up having to block them off. During the Journey concert, there was an announcement and it was displayed on the screen that you could get a 2-for-1 drink at the main bar by presenting your ticket stub after the show. The bartenders knew nothing of this special and made us feel stupid for asking for it. If you like to play blackjack, this is not the place to go. There were not very many tables open at all, even $25 ones. This hotel is nowhere close to the strip, so unless you are planning to get a lot of exercise or take a lot of taxi rides, it's not a great choice either. The shuttle driver is VERY nice and the shuttle runs on time, you just need to get to the back of the Fashion Show Mall to an unmarked bench to catch the shuttle. Thanks daily 'resort' fee! We have been to Las Vegas between 40-50 times over the past 21 years. We will not be coming back to stay at the Hard Rock.
