The Nugget's spacious Carson Tower rooms are more formally styled, with marble lined bathrooms and pillow-top beds. More classic standard rooms in the Gold Tower include pillow-top beds and 42" plasma TVs, while Gold Club Rooms on the 16th and 17th floors offer more modern styling and concierge-level amenities. Suites in the Spa Tower, most of which are two-level, come with a wet bar, living and dining areas, large bathrooms with two-person spa tubs and dramatic views. No matter the tower, most rooms offer a variety of views that include the Vegas Strip, Spring Mountains and/or the pool deck.
Features

Daredevils love the Golden Nugget's three-story waterslide for more than just the drop – the slide also plunges through the immense shark tank by way of a secure tube. Also on the third floor of The Tank, the secluded Hideout pool deck offers an adults-only scene with an infinity pool and the H20 Bar. Back inside, the 45,000 square-foot-casino draws gamers to its popular slot and video poker machines, table games, race and sports book and poker room. The Golden Nugget also offers select retail (including a jewelry shop and high-end boutique apparel), an arcade and a golf concierge. Cabanas and daybeds at both the Golden Nugget and Hideout pools are available for a fee. Free self- and valet parking is available.

Suprisingly good

I was generally impressed with the hotel when we first drove up. Very nice. Front desk service was great. They did charge my card twice in error, but that was remedied immediately. Valet did ask my BF to move car before I was able to return back out - never had that before - and there was plenty of drive-thru space. Other than that, room was great, loved looking at Shark Tank,- lots o' beauty.

Great place for a weekend wedding!

I have visited Freemont Street many times but never stayed at any of the properties. After this stay, it may be hard for me to ever return to the strip. The strip has bigger, newer properties, but everything is so convenient and "within reach" on Freemont Street. The rate was appropriate for the amenities received and all staff interactions were very friendly. Most treated me like I was someone that had stayed at the hotel many times rather than a first time visitor. The food at all the venues was good and Vic and Anthony's was fantastic!! The pool was a bit crowded and it was difficult to get a chair but I didn't find this to be unusual for a nice weekend in September. I will definitely return to this property.

The Class Of Downtown

Very simply, the Golden Nugget is the class of downtown. The hotel and rooms are clean and elegant. It is a fantastic value compared to prime properties on the strip. The lunch buffet is well worth it. Registration staff were effcient, sexy little brunettes in hot red outfits. The shark tank aquarium and actual world's largest gold nugget (61 lbs.) are well worth seeing. The casino separates the hotel from the Fremont Street Experience which insulates it from the rather, "interesting" folks who party, loiter and transact there. We had a great stay.

Great downtown experience, pushy salespeople a nightmare!

All the UNIQUE people on Fremont street provided us with a hilarious adventure. The swimming pool and slide traveling through a shark tank was amazing. Glad that I had read reviews so took along our kcups. Keurig coffee pot available, but k cups were sold in a wee box for $10.00. No alternative for morning coffee in the room. I disliked the time share people accosting us everytime we used the elevator to the room--we were definitely not interested in their free offers numerous times. In Vegas it was difficult to distinquish between actual ticket booths and time share vendors set up in Casinos and hotels.

Nice Stay

We were looking for a lower cost but still nice hotel for our stay in Vegas and this was terrific. The slide at the pool is awesome and the shark tank was really neat. The bed was super comfy and I liked how they had a mix of firm and soft pillows. We had considered going to newer, higher priced hotels (Red Rock, Caesars Palace) but I'm glad we didn't. This place was fun.

Greatest hotel in Vegas downtown

The Golden Nugget is one of the first hotel built in Vegas downtown area and that was one of the reason why I chose it. Beside the perfect facilities of rooms and good dining services, the hotel casinos are truly great. There are so many different types of games and I always won there :) I liked to see the real biggest gold nugget of the world which is exhibited at the hotel lobby, as well as the sharks pool which makes you feel like you are swimming with them. I would stay there again next time! Good luck!

Golden Nugget - a real jem!

I usually stay on the strip - most recently at the Wynn. I enjoy Fremont/ downtown area so decided to stay here. It's really nice and has all of the similar amenities, just on a much smaller scale. The casino is more personal and just has a bit more of the homely touch. The pool is amazing and they have a shark tank!
