The upscale Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino surrounds two pools inside The Tank. A family hangout, The Shark Tank features a three-story water slide sending riders through a huge fish tank filled with sharks and fish. Sounds of family fun fade away at the third floor infinity pool, The Hideout. The adults only retreat is lined with luxury cabanas and lounge chairs. Amenities in The Tank include the H2O Lounge, a Jacuzzi and chaise lounges circling a firepit for late night cocktails under the stars.

Built in 1946, the historic Golden Nugget Hotel consistently wins the AAA Four Diamond Award. The Las Vegas Review Journal has named it Best Downtown Hotel. Completing luxury penthouse suites, spa suites and Gold Club rooms, the recent $150 million renovation also added the opulent Golden Nugget Spa.

Dining
As with most luxury Vegas resorts, dining options at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino range from seafood at Chart House with its 75,000 gallon tropical fish aquarium, Vic & Anthony's for steak, Red Sushi, Grotto Italian, Lillie's Asian Cuisine and The Grille. Start the day with coffee at Starbucks or breakfast at the Buffet. Beer aficionados appreciate the big selection of 40 different brews at the casino's International Beer Bar.
Rooms
Over 2,000 non-smoking rooms and suites across four towers offer a deluxe variety of accommodations at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. Standard rooms in the luxurious Rush Tower are a generous 439 square feet and feature iPod docking stations, 42" plasma screens, DVD players, pillow-top beds and down comforters, and bathrooms with twin decolav sinks, a lighted makeup mirror and waterfall showerheads. The Nugget's spacious Carson Tower rooms are more formally styled, with marble lined bathrooms and pillow-top beds. More classic standard rooms in the Gold Tower include pillow-top beds and 42" plasma TVs, while Gold Club Rooms on the 16th and 17th floors offer more modern styling and concierge-level amenities. Suites in the Spa Tower, most of which are two-level, come with a wet bar, living and dining areas, large bathrooms with two-person spa tubs and dramatic views. No matter the tower, most rooms offer a variety of views that include the Vegas Strip, Spring Mountains and/or the pool deck.
Property features

Daredevils love the Golden Nugget's three-story waterslide for more than just the drop - the slide also plunges through the immense shark tank by way of a secure tube. Also on the third floor of The Tank, the secluded Hideout pool deck offers an adults-only scene with an infinity pool and the H20 Bar. Back inside, the 45,000 square-foot-casino draws gamers to its popular slot and video poker machines, table games, race and sports book and poker room. The Golden Nugget also offers select retail (including a jewelry shop and high-end boutique apparel), an arcade and a golf concierge. Cabanas and daybeds at both the Golden Nugget and Hideout pools are available for a fee. Free self- and valet parking is available.

Highlights

The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino has 10 eateries. Ranging from the exclusive Chart House steak and seafood menu, to Lillie's Asian Cuisine or the Cadillac Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar, diverse restaurants cover cuisines from around the world. just time for me to get away alone and rent a car to go to Phoenix Arizona to see my brother I ain't

it was ok was not worth the money they charged me. Put me in a smoking room which I would not take. Then I was to pay a extra 200 $ to upgrade cause they didn't have any rooms left. Then I agree to that my credit card has been charged over $300. Cost me over $750 for a room for 5 well really 4 nights.

Las Vegas getaway

The pool is nice and the rooms were nice on arrival, however for the price of the nugget you would think they would clean your room every day. This should be done automatically and you should not have to ask them while you are there. The checkout process on the TV should actually work so you do not have to go and wait in lines. Overall the nugget is still a nice hotel.

The hotel was impressive and clean. The pool was awesome! I was disappointed there was not a refrigerator in the room and a cheaper option for breakfast. For the price I would have expected a breakfast voucher.

Great place and nicely remodeled.

The location on Fremont St was great. One of the nicest casinos in this area of Vegas. Downside was that I thought the pool area would have been more enticing and there were a lot of kids constantly in the casino area.
