Great Vacation Hotel
The Excalibur was a very good hotel to say in. From our check in to check out we didn't have any problems. I liked the staff and housekeeping was friendly. We did encounter one problem, during our check out we had to pay an additional $8 for telephone usage, in which we were not informed of the $ per day fee for the telephone. This fee is charged regardless if you use the telephone or not. Other than that the price and variety of eating places within the hotel were good. Although it is very costly in Las Vegas eating inside of the hotels the Excalibur was the cheapest hotel to eat at out of all of the other hotels on the strip.

Pleasant Environment
An irritant, which detracted from our rating, was a $1.00/day add-on for phone service, whether it was used or not. The Excalibur should have more class than that. The outstanding feature was, surprisingly, the buffet. Every offering was top-notch. Stronly recommended. Rooms are pleasant and comfortable. The mezzanine has a large food court, and the Hotel has a 24-hour restaurant. The Casino is large. However, our room did not have a bathtub--the only Hotel I have occupied that did not offer one. The shower is, however, huge, and the bathroom is roomy.

Great Stay
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Excalibur. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great to see that you can still find $5 blackjack tables for those of us beginner/novices that play. Food was good and room was comfortable. The room was a little dated, but it my understanding that they are in the process of remodeling. We found everything in one place and rarely left the hotel and always found that gambling was best at the Excalibur.

Good for what we wanted
We went to Las Vegas in a group that started out as a birthday party. Since we were already going to be there we decided to get married at the Canturbury Wedding chaple. People arrived from several different locations at various times. The staff at Excalibur tried to book all of us in a block of rooms so it was easy to get together and make plans. The rooms were big enough and had chairs so we could have several people in one room to chat or just hang out. The rooms were serviced in a timely manor and we had towels and soap etc. as needed. We were about ten minutes from the airport so that was nice knowing we didn't have to worry about getting stuck in traffic when we were headed home. I would stay there again.

Old and Dated
Entire property is outdated and rooms are very sparse and uncomfortable. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Casino seems more smoke-filled than alot of the other properties on the strip. After spending my first few hours in the hotel, I decided that this was a place to sleep and not spend a tremendous amount of time in.
