Excalibur hotel needs to be rebuilt
The checkin process was very rude, not customer friendly at all. The A/C in the room sounded like a hurricane and the only setting was either on or off. Since Las Vegas was ~100F, it wasn't possible to turn the A/C off and survive in the room. The room was clean but it could be renovated a little. When I checked out, they charged $2.00 on my credit card. The hotel said it was for a phone service in the room. The hotel charges $1.00/day just to have a phone in the room. Even if you don't use it. What a rip off!

Great location and amenities
The Excalibur was very great to hang out in and good restaurants. The pool was a little confusing because I couldnt find the deep part of the pool and I never saw a cocktail waitresses? The location was great and you could walk out of the hotel and end up in another great hotel! I loved the room and the open shower with no tub!

Great Rooms
The Excalibur had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. We stayed in just a standerd room, and every morning I woke up feeling like a million bucks. It's like the commercials where people wake up enrgized and spunky after a only a few hours just because it was a good bed. This was that bed. I also had back problems so hotel beds are usually somthing I dread when on vacation, but I felt better the whole time there then I have in years.

front desk not organized
The Excaliber location was excellent the only problem was the handling of the extras on my bill. One time my credit card was good the next no good no one ever had the correct answer as to why it was good one time and not the next. I kept getting calls to my room about this!

The uncomfortable room
The bathroom fan made a loud noise and didn't work. The air conditioner went off during the night and we were unable to restart it. It made the room very uncomfortable. The air vents were extremely dirty. There were lots of finger prints on the window. We paid an extra $10.00 a night for a room upgrade. We don't think the extra $10.00 was worth it. The room number was 11153.

Very satisfied, but...
The hotel itself was just what we were looking for, it had all of the amenities we wanted and turned out to be better than what we had hoped. The only problem we found with the hotel was the hidden extra charges they don't tell you about until just before or at check out. For example, a $1 charge for phone service, even if you don't use the phone and a fee of $25 for a late check out. In addition, the hotel charges $30 extra per night for a room with a strip view, which is absolutely ridiculous! We come to Las Vegas every year and we have never been nickled and dimed like this before, it's a shame.
