El Cortez

The Pavilion room was too loud so we asked to be moved. The staff was great!! They moved us to a tower room. The tower room was perfect!! We will stay at the El Cortez again!

Pay for the 24 hour bus to take you from Fremont to the main strip. $ 8 well worth it. get off and on at many stops near all casinos. No fuss with parking.

Quick get away

The price was good and location was fantastic. We really enjoyed the staff but location of our room was above the parking garage and we could hear a lot of noise at night. If possible pay the extra $10 to move inside.

Local Las Vegas resident

I live in Las Vegas and have stayed in almost all of the hotels that are cheaper than a cab ride home. if you're going to a 51s game this place rocks. friday n ight 51s game and a room at el cortez all for less than $65. clean rooms, most of the cheap ones are REALLY old and small, but you get what you pay for. the cafe staff are always crabby and rude, get your food to go.

Great bang for your buck

The vintage room was small but fine for us. The staff was super friendly. Being a fairly small hotel, it was surprising that they offered so much. Coffee shop was great, with good food at super low pricing. Convenience factor was high compared to larger hotels. Casino had everything we needed, including 24 hour table games.

Down Town Vegas

The first room I got (Vintage) should be old and small, although it was clean, the shower head had very little water pressure. I up graded to a tower room for $22.60. It was a vast improvement, Larger more updated. The front desk staff were great, although I was informed ( when I ask for a tea bag instead of coffee) that I could call room service for a $12.50 cup of tea. Other than that the trip was fine loved downtown and the gaming staff with one exception was very friendly.

Switched.............But that's OK!

I did not intend on staying at the El Cortez, but the Gold Spike, which I originally booked, was sold and closed down three days before my arrival. The El Cortez was a very nice place. Although not as inexpensive as the Gold Spike, it was still the best deal on Fremont Street. I've already booked another trip to the place.
