el cortez hotel and casino

i was impressed, i got my card key out and inserted in to the elevator: pressed #5 and away i went, i opened the door and i got a blast from the fairly new furniture that was in my room. it was better than the D hotel, the shower was the only draw back as i was taken a shower the water changed by itself. first it was hot then it was cold. it needs to be fixed. the drain mechism was also not working. it came out and then it drained. overall i had a plesant 3 nights there.

Decent Downtown Hotel

I'm not a big Vegas fan, I find the strip overstimulating. Found this hotel to be a lot more comfortable and a lot less agitating, and generally a lot more laid back. A good match for someone who wants to go to Vegas but needs some more room to breathe.

it was a great experience

They should greet us like a simple hi or hello at the Casino's. We loved the parking cause its not a far walk to the Casinos & room. It would b great if their were elevators to the rooms but I can't complain cause we were on the second floor. The parking garage securities were really nice & friendly.

Over night stay

The sheets and towels were clean, But there was hair in the tub! The staff was very nice. We had asked for a smoking room but were told when we checked in that there weren't any left. We were told we'd have to go outside to smoke, after a long drive I just wanted to relax in my room and have a smoke.

Love the downtown district!

Our 5th stay at this friendly hotel which we booked for a fortnight online but on arrival were told we could only stay for 7 days and would be charged an extra $25 per day for the following week! The manager kindly waived this fee as we had made a legitimate booking and it was apparently a mistake with their online info but aside from this, the El Cortez is the perfect hotel from which to discover the newly regenerated downtown.

perfect location near bars

My stay was enjoyable and the lady at the front desk was friendly. Great price except there is a deposit of 40-50 dollars and it takes 3-10 days to get back.
