Great business amenities
The location was very good I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there was a sink with a long counter and there was adequate space for hanging clothes

great place to stay
The Desert Rose was a very comfortable place to stay. Very quiet. Rooms were large and very clean. Resort had every accomodation a person would need, from fully equipped kitchen to clean well maintained pool area. Pool was cold but refreshing on a 98 degree day. Strip to Las Vegas was only a block away.

Great location and value!
We stayed at the Desert Rose Resort for a long weekend in early September. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. The hotel was clean and newly renovated. The staff was courteous. The only problem we had was incomplete maid service on the second day. The kitchen allowed us to save on meals. Parking was convenient. The location was excellent, just off the strip and 5 minutes from McCarren airport. I would recommend this hotel and will stay here in the future.

Clean, friendly and great location
This was our first visit to the Desert Rose and it won't be our last. We have stayed at many Las Vegas strip hotels and been happy but the Desert Rose was cozy and friendly, clean and just a quick walk from the strip. We had a three room suite with a fully equipped kitchen, a huge master bedroom with some of the nicest linens I have ever seen in a hotel. And most important it was clean, clean, clean!

The continental breakfast was great...it was really a full breakfast with eggs, ham, cereal, and the BEST bread! Tables on the patio near the pool added to a relaxing and delicous breakfast!

My review of Desert Rose Resort
The suites were absolutely beautiful and is was close enough to the strip to enjoy but far enough away to get away from the strip. We did not rent a car, walked almost everywhere. The hotel had happy hour everynight from 5-7 with free beer, wine, soda, munchies, and entertainment every other night. The concierge team were highly knowledgable and helpful. When we arrived, check-in time was four pm, we got the at 9:30 am and wanted to know if we could leave our bags. They did better than that, they let us check in 6 hours early! What a relief! The suite had a nice kitchen, full size appliances and fully stocked with cookwear. The only mar in our stay was a real push to buy timeshare to the tune of over $24000. No way.

alternative to casino
Since I am an occasional gambler, mainly in Las Vegas to visit my son; not staying in a casino hotel was fine for me. I enjoyed the room (more like a small apartment) especially the kitchen with full size appliances, dishes, glassware etc allowing for meal preparation or just having beverages available. There was a separate bedroom w/king size bed and a closet, nice decor, toilet and shower separate from but next to a long counter and sink. This is a nice place for families as well.

Good for Families with Children
This hotel is very good for families with children, it does not have the casino environment. We came to Las Vegas for the attraction, the sights and nearby sight-seeing such as the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam.

Short drive from hotel
The hotel is just perfect for us because we like to walk by the strip and see the lights and attractions. The Skywalk at the west rim of grand canyon is a must see and experience. Maggiano's restaurant by the strip mall is a very good italian restaurant.

Great hotel
This holtel is well exceeding my expectation. The staff was friendly, room was comfortable including kitchen with all appliances. Closet and safe box also included. Location is perfect, just 1 block from the strip. Quiet area, but close to very thing. Swimming pool, fitness center is large enough to serve all guests sufficiently. Breakfast was free and plenty of food for every one. Internet access is available but not free. If the hotel was willing to provide this service for free, I think this hotel would be perfect. However, it is just a small drawback for most of the good things. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends , and would stay there again in the future.

A pleasant stay
I was very pleased with my stay at the Desert Rose Resort. Although it I didn't get to attend the happy hour, I thought it was nice to have it available for the guests. There were two things I was unhappy with; 1) the yougurt on the continental breakfast contained a sweetner which made me ill for the whole day, it was not labeled as such, if so I wouldn't have eaten it. 2) I am not a prejudice person, but I do not like the fact that the some of the staff cannot speak any english. I'm not in a foreign country, I shouldn't have to speak a foriegn lanuage in my own country.

The Tram stop which takes you down the strip is across the street at the MGM Grand and the Excalibur has one that goes to the Luxor & Mandalay Bay, both within walking distance from this resort.

Great Relaxing Resort
The Desert Rose Resort was beautiful. The kitchen with all the amenities was very nice and roomy with granite counters and everything you would need. The living room and dining room were very comfortable. The bedroom was very spacious with it's attached bathroom with plenty of counter and closet space. The pool was sparkling clean and close to the main lobby. It was an easy walk to the Strip and the MGM Grand across the street. We had a wonderful time and will definately stay again and have already told many people about it as well.
