Caesars Palace

It was a great hotel, very elegant. But it took about 15 minutes to just get down to the lobby from the room.

My wife and I stayed at Caesar's Palace once before. We got a real cheap $59 promo deal on the cheapest rooms. It was outdated and pretty grungy. But we liked the fancy lobby, pools and location, so we decided to try a more upscale room (Palace Tower) this time. But it was a TERRIBLE disappointment! As soon as we got off the elevator we were met with stained, ripped carpets held in place with DUCT TAPE! The room was no better. It WAS larger than the cheap rooms, but dirty, dusty, banged up and just plain unpleasant. The rug was old and torn. There was little furniture or decor, only one tiny stained couch, a small chair and a tiny cheap glass table that looked like patio furniture. There was a desk that looked like a 10 year old purchase from Target. The big windows facing the pool were filthy, covered in mud. If I didn't know better I would have thought I was in a Motel 6 in Newark! It was downright depressing. Aside from the the room, we both felt as if the place was just trying to squeeze every penny from us. They charged a $35 early check-in fee even though a room was ready ( and I am a Total Rewards member). To make this worse, as soon as we checked in we noticed a faucet dripping and left the room anyway until the repairs were made. Also, our phone to call the front desk and or room service did not work. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee, sugar etc provided. We were even told by the front desk not to put anything in the fridge as the "sensors" might charge us for disturbing the honor-bar items! Again, these are things I would not have expected from a classy place like Caesar's. Another disappointment to us was the once impressive pool area. Since our last visit, they put up another tower of rooms, making the pool area MUCH smaller. The jacuzzi pool and much of the seating area is gone. The place now seems crowded, and ordinary. And guests are charged $25+ extra per night (resort fee) if they use it or not. It really ticked us off when we saw two people who weren't guests pay only $10 to get in! Our conclusion is that Caesar's Palace is no longer the place to stay in Vegas. The property IS nice, the fountains, sculptures, cool mall etc. But anyone can come enjoy these without having to pay big money to stay in a lousy room. Vegas is full of great places to stay, most for far less than Caesar's Palace. My wife and I thought we would always stay at Caesar's when we came to Vegas. But after this visit we decided we are better off trying other properties.

The hotel was great and our room was perfect. Everything was brand new and stylish. The location of hotel is great and we found a great deal in terms of price. However, when we arrived we couldn't check in until 6 pm because there were no clean rooms available. So we were told to leave our bags and go kill some time. The receptionist was supposed to call me in 20 minutes or so to let me know that our room was ready. I didn't get a call for an hour and a half and then we walked to the reception to find out that our room had been ready for an hour. They told us to go up to our room and they will be sending our luggages but it took them almost two hours to locate our luggages and eventually sent them to our room.

Meetings I attended were in Caesars Palace. It was purely business. Meetings started at 7am and ran until 7pm so no time for relaxing. I stayed at the Paris with you before and it really was just as good as Caesars except that I wanted to be in Caesars for location of meetings.

Amazing! Loved it. We cant wait to get back to Vegas!!

We always wanted to stay at here and got a good deal air/hotel .We have stayed at other hotels and this was about the same as the rest . If we get a deal to stay here again we would but not at full price .

The staff were extremely friendly, courteous, helpful, and worked very hard to make sure my stay was perfect. I could not ask for a better travel experience.

The whole place is themed very well, only wish even the rooms (in the Roman Tower) were themed as well

We were pleasantly surprised with the civility of the CP. We travel to Vegas often and we've stayed at most of the hotels on the strip and CP is up there with the best of them. The room was good value but like everywhere else on the strip you get hit for everything. Starting with an espresso shot for $5 + tax and take it from there. Its ridiculously expensive and nothing tasted that good either. The room service menu was boring and the food was uninspired yet cost as much as some of the best restaurants in NYC. Again its not any worse than other big name hotels on the strip.

Great service, reservation all in order when I checked in. Room was awesome and everything in the facility was awesome.
